The guard play for the Buffalo Bills in 2013 was, in a word, dreadful.
Right guard Kraig Urbik regressed in a new blocking scheme, left guard Colin Brown was the worst offensive linemen in the league by many metrics before being replaced and then his replacement Doug Legursky wasn't much better.
So what will the Bills do in the off-season to address the position? Head coach Doug Marrone has already publicly stated that they think three younger players (J.J. 'Unga, Mark Asper and Antoine McClain) show signs of starting potential at guard. Might they also bring in another young player through the draft the help the position as well?
If they do, they'll have options later on in the draft.
Here are my initial rankings of offensive guards available in this year's class:
(Keep in mind that these are overall rankings, not who the Bills may be looking for and targeting.)
Thankyou lets talk about some things that the bills need. Enough of the superbowl mess. Who cares about that mess any way. We where partying because of reed and johnson. Not because of the worse superbowl in history. And if you want to keep on gloryfied that game. just go to seahawks. com. And its is not to late for you to move their too for lol.
Go with Richardson
Have to like Cyril Richardson. He is talented, fast, and can line up at any of the interior three positions. With Wood having an injury history and Buffalo usually not having a dedicated #2 on the team, it makes the most sense.
re: Go with Richardson
that was a good pick, yes he would go good with woods. finally somebody with some football sense. hey what do you think about mack with kiko. that also look like a great fit, I know everybody is looking for them to pick a wideout; which i'm sure they will but in the later rounds. I would love for them to go for two ot if they are there. If not got to go te to help out ej. But you can tell because of this years draft that they are going to go with needs not glory postion like qb. And the coaches that they just hire, are going to need depth players on this team. I think crossman job will be alright because most of these coaches also focus on special teams too. Thats why i think marrone did a hell of a job of getting his staff together. But it will be a shock if they go with a qb. It just wouldn't make sense.
