The Rochester Americans announced Thursday that they will host an outdoor game next December.
The game will cap off more than a week of outdoor hockey at Rochester's Frontier Field. The event will also include Division-I college hockey games with Rochester Institute of Technology's men and women.
"While the chance to play an outdoor game will be an exciting opportunity for our players and coaches, the event as a whole will allow the entire community to share in a special experience,” Sabres President Ted Black said at a press conference Thursday morning.
The 10-day event runs from Dec. 13 to Dec 22.
