Bills' Aaron Williams taking steps forward

When Buffalo Bills cornerback Aaron Williams went down with a knee injury against Houston, he and the team both feared the worst.

Williams needed to be helped off the field without putting any pressure on his knee, and even was carted off the field once he got to the sidelines.

Fast-forward three-and-a-half weeks, and Williams is back doing limited work at practice for the Bills this week.

"It felt good being back, still got some issues here and there, but I'm way past of what my expectations were," Williams said Thursday. "Doing a little bit more running than I expected, a little bit more cutting, so I'm progressing good."

The second-year cornerback said he was originally told it would be anywhere from four-to-six weeks before he could entertain the thought of getting back on the field. After doing some individual work on Wednesday, he hopes to just take it one day at a time and do a little bit more to get back in to football shape.
