Bills' Gailey Declines Comment on Maybin to Jets
At the beginning of the week, the Buffalo Bills had decided enough was enough with former first round pick Aaron Maybin.
They waived Maybin, ending one of the most disappointing tenures for a first round draft pick in franchise history.
Just two days later, Maybin finds himself with a new team that the Bills are fairly familiar with: the New York Jets. Maybin signed on for a one-year deal with Rex Ryan and the crew that have made two consecutive AFC Championship games. Ryan said he's excited to see what Maybin can do in their system, and even Maybin implied playing the Bills twice per season was an extra incentive of signing with New York.
Following Wednesday night's practice, Bills head coach Chan Gailey was asked what he made of Maybin signing with the Jets.
Gailey turned a stone, cold face to the question and came through with merely a one-word reply:
If there's one thing for certain, the Bills haven't even had a second thought about releasing Aaron Maybin.
