Bills' Gailey Deflects Question About DC Edwards
The Buffalo Bills have allowed a whopping 106 points in their past three games, and the focal point for many people that follow the team has landed on defensive coordinator George Edwards.
Edwards, in his second season with the Bills, has led the team to be in the bottom ten of overall defensive rankings in the NFL. With the current stretch of things, the question of the defensive coordinator's job security came up on Monday.
Head coach Chan Gailey deflected the question when asked if a switch would be made with the defense under fire:
"Hey, we're all under fire. Everybody's under fire every week. That has not changed since I started in the league in 19 -- whenever it was -- 85, I think. It may be more true today than it was then. Everybody's under fire, we're all under fire."
The Bills went to a four-man front for most of the game against the Dolphins. That was done to try and help the defensive personnel they used on Sunday. Gailey added that the switch was not a permanent one.
