Buffalo Bills nose tackle Torell Troup was placed on the injured reserve list on November 30 due to lingering back problems throughout the course of the season. The details of the injury are now known according to John Wawrow of the Associated Press.
Troup told Wawrow that he has a "minor fracture" in his spine. The defensive lineman took to Twitter to announce that he will likely have back surgery on Friday.
He then tweeted the following: "Im ready to get this over so i can be the player i was in the preseason. Will feel good to not be in pain everyday"
Troup was the Bills' second-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. He's played in 21 games over his first two seasons, and has 31 total tackles in his time on the field.
