Bills' WR Group Banged Up, Three Miss Practice
With Fred Jackson out this weekend against the New York Jets, the Buffalo Bills likely were looking for relief in their passing game. Wednesday's practice didn't exactly build hope with the amount of injuries that forced wide receivers to miss the session.
Stevie Johnson, David Nelson and Naaman Roosevelt all missed practice for the Bills Wednesday. With Donald Jones placed on Injured Reserve Tuesday, that made the practicing receivers Wednesday all players that weren't wideouts on the opening day Bills roster in September.
Brad Smith, Ruvell Martin, Kamar Aiken and Derek Hagan make up that list. It remains to be seen whether or not Johnson, Nelson and Roosevelt will be able to get back to practice later this week.
The only other player not participating on Wednesday was strong safety George Wilson. His neck injury is healing slowly according to head coach Chan Gailey. Wilson sat out Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
The Bills take on the New York Jets on the road Sunday.
