Bills' Wilson Expects to Play
The past three games for the Buffalo Bills have been spent without starting strong safety, and their top overall defensive playmaker, George Wilson.
A neck injury suffered against Dallas in Week 10 has held him out, but a big step forward was made on Wednesday. Wilson confirmed that he has been cleared for practice and expects to play this coming weekend against the San Diego Chargers.
"That's really big," said head coach Chan Gailey. "The communication on the back-end was very good while he was in there. We've taken a step back in our communication in the secondary with all the young guys, which is understandable."
Before his injury, Wilson had 79 total tackles, along with four interceptions and a forced fumble. Rookie Da'Norris Searcy has been starting in his place.
