With both Aaron Williams and Terrence McGee expected to miss this weekend's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Buffalo Bills have added to their cornerback depth from within the organization.
The team announcing on Twitter that they've promoted cornerback Terrence Wheatley to the 53-man active roster. To make room, the Bills have released tight end David Martin.
Wheatley becomes the fifth healthy cornerback on the roster, joining Drayton Florence, Leodis McKelvin, Reggie Corner and Justin Rogers. On Monday, head coach Chan Gailey said they would have to get Rogers ready to be the fourth cornerback against the Bengals.
With the release of Martin, the Bills now have only two tight ends on their active roster. Scott Chandler, who has four touchdowns this season, and rookie waiver pickup Lee Smith.
