Bills' Kyle Williams Had Surgery Wednesday
Just one day after the Buffalo Bills placed defensive lineman Kyle Williams on injured reserve, effectively ending his season, the team confirmed the next step for his foot injury.
Head coach Chan Gailey said Williams underwent a surgical operation Wednesday to repair his injured foot. The injury first took him out of game action when the Bills played Philadelphia on October 9. Williams has since missed the past three games, with the Bills hoping he'd be available at some point later this season.
Once surgery had been recommended, the Bills made the move to end his season. Williams likely met with Dr. James Anderson, a foot specialist in North Carolina.
Albert Elias of Elias Sports Management, who represents Williams, said on Twitter Wednesday that surgery for Williams was successful. Elias also said the doctors were very pleased, and to look for Williams to make a full recovery in time for the 2012 season.
