Bills Name Inge Assistant DL Coach
The Buffalo Bills have announced the hiring of University at Buffalo defensive coordinator William Inge to their coaching staff. He becomes an assistant defensive line coach with the team.
The Bill sent along the following press release about the hire:
“We are excited to have William join our staff,“ said Bills head coach Chan Gailey. “We were impressed with his abilities during last year’s training camp and feel he will make an excellent addition to our defensive staff.”
Inge has spent the past two seasons as the University at Buffalo’s defensive coordinator/linebackers coach. Prior to joining the University at Buffalo, Inge coached linebackers for two seasons at Cincinnati where he helped the school win back-to-back Big East titles in 2008 and 2009.
Inge is entering his first career season as an assistant coach in the National Football League and participated in the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaching Fellowship program with the Buffalo Bills last summer where he assisted current defensive coordinator Dave Wannstedt in coaching the inside linebackers.
Inge was a four-year letter-winner at Iowa and graduated in 1996.
