Bills sign new punter

The Buffalo Bills moved on from longtime punter Brian Moorman on Friday and on Saturday, they signed his first replacement.

The Bills have officially signed  punter Colton Schmidt to an undisclosed contract. Schmidt originally signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted rookie out of UC Davis. He was then released by the 49ers and had a brief (less than a week) stint with the Cleveland Browns before his release. The 49ers re-signed Schmidt in January of 2014 before releasing him this summer as part of one of their cuts.

Schmidt, 23, participated in the first three preseason games with the 49ers before his eventual release. He had seven opportunities in those three games and posted a net average of 46.1 yards per punt.

So what makes him better than what we had???
08/31/2014 3:46AM
why?
why couldn't the Bills have done this with the QB situation? oops? sorry -they did-has anyone done any background checks to see if Baloney Marrone does the same shuffle with his cars? buy one/trade it in then buy another and trade that in? all thisshould have been done in the offseason upgrading the team is good but do it BEFORE preseason- don't you think every player on this team is wondering what is the heck going on ? it will show in their playing

soberingly sad lesson in mathematics
Uh-oh… I had such high hopes…. I just reviewed the past 14 seasons (2000-2013) of the NFL’s commissioner Roger B. A. Goodass coveted Premier Farm Team: The Buffalo Sillies win loss record. In 224 games played, 81 Win column entries over those wonderful 14 seasons (16 games per 14 seasons because there were no playoff appearances = 224), the front office spin machine of One Bills Drive “Storied History” franchise was somehow able to make us believe through all their smoke and mirror effects that even Eskimos want to buy ice with the grand total of 81 wins? 81 wins out of 224 games played. Now I’m not a rocket scientist, but I do believe that winning percentage isn’t going to be very promising. Alas, I opted to forge ahead anyways, breakout the old math books, whisk the dust away and once again engage my brain to recall my basic mathematics of calculating percentages and when I divide 81 by 224, I got a whopping 0.3616 x 100 =36.16%?????????????????????? WOW! This is absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, as a die-hard ticket buying fan, this IS exactly what I want from my team….
