Orchard Park, NY (WGR550) -- Buffalo Bills Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Russ Brandon was frustrated with the team's performance following the 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Brandon spoke with the media after the loss, commenting on a variety of topics.
When asked about head coach Dick Jauron's future with the team, Brandon said "I am not commenting on that. Obviously this is a low point for all of us." He added he feels for the fans right now and that with the team 1-4 on the year it "is not where we expected to be right now."
The C.O.O. and G.M. was asked what he would do to make the team better. Brandon told reporters he will do "anything possible to make this better for everyone involved." Penalties were an issue for the Bills in their loss to Cleveland as well. The team committed 13 penalties for 75 yards against the Browns. Brandon doesn't think the errors were committed due to lack of effort, he said, "one thing I will never question or anyone in this organization will ever question, the effort they put in. For it to translate on the field like it did today is certainly not where you want to be past a quarter of the way into the season."
The Bills offense has been running the "no huddle" scheme all season long with mixed results. The team has only scored one offensive touchdown in their last three games, and are 0-3 as well. Brandon did not share his thoughts on the system, but told reporters he will "let the coaches coach," and that the inefficiencies are something the media "would have to address with them [coaching staff]."
