The average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region is $3.62, according to the AAA. That's thirty-four cents more than the national average of $3.28 per gallon. On the bright side, a year ago, local motorists were paying twenty-five cents MORE per gallon.
Buffalo's first licensed distillery since Prohibition officially opens tomorrow. Lockhouse Distillery is on the third floor of the old Pierce Arrow Building on Great Arrow Drive. Lockhouse Vodka is made from all New York state-grown products including grapes from Lockport’s Freedom Run Winery. Bottles are priced at $35 each.
A Made In America kiosk is now part of the McKinley Mall in the JC Penney concourse.
According to the Buffalo News, Northwest Bancshares has agreed to purchase an Erie, Pennsylvania financial advisory firm and a related employee benefits firm. Terms of the deal for Evans Capital Management Inc. and Employee Benefit Resources were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close January 1st.
