Buffalo Business Report - Monday, April 14th 2014



According to the AAA, the current average cost for a gallon of gas is up to $3.78 in the area.  The price up is four cents locally since last week and is fourteen cents higher than the current national average.

AutoZone has purchased the former site for Orville’s appliance store at 1601 Walden Avenue.  Business First reports a new auto parts retail outlet is expected to open there later this spring.

Opening this summer will be a new location for Marco’s Italian Deli.  Marco's is leasing a portion of the first floor in the Genesee Gateway Building.

Recently, Robert Basil Buick GMC Cadillac was announced as the #1 GMC dealer in sales for the month of March in the Buffalo area.

Tonawanda-based Taylor Devices Inc. continues to see a drag on earnings.  With three quarters in the books, Taylor earnings are off $1.26 million compared to a year ago.
