In order to fast track the development of the RiverBend property, the Buffalo Urban Development Corp. has sold all 188 acres to the Fort Schuyler Management Corp. for $2.8 million.  Business First notes Fort Schuyler Management Corp. is the state agency credited with forming Albany’s successful and highly touted nanoscience and research complex.

Batavia restaurateur Mark Bohn has purchased the former Empire Grill on Hertel Avenue.  The new owner will bring in an upscale casual dining operation, featuring burgers, specialty sandwiches, steak and seafood for lunch and dinner.  The Batavia Daily News reports Bohn expects to open the two-story eatery in October.

A new report from Univera Healthcare reveals New York state adults register themselves as organ and tissue donors at less than half the rate of adults nationwide, but the need for lifesaving organs in New York state is among the highest in the country.

  I like it. They can win with Cassel, a strong run game and great defense.
