Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, November 13th 2013

Wilmington Trust is being investigated by both the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice.  At the heart of the matter are "financial reporting and security filings" and "certain commercial real estate lending relationships" that happened before M&T Bank acquired Wilmington in May of 2011.

In a report on the rise in self-storage facilities across the country, The Wall Street Journal notes that Sovran Self Storage of Buffalo is among similar companies "disguising" their normally drab looking buildings to better fit with their surroundings.  One such project is under review in Somerville, Massachusetts.   Sovran posted a return of 16.8% in its third quarter, making it the best performing real estate investment trust in the U.S.

Kona Oasis Spa has recently opened at 326 Cayuga Road.  The spa has hours Tuesday through Saturday.
