Eric Latimore, #56
Penn State
6'6", 277 lbs., 24 years old
Middletown, DE
18 tackles, 5 TFL, 3 sacks (0 in '10, 3.5 in '09, 1 in '08) 1 FF
PROS
- Looks the part. Well built, has the prototypical size you'd want out of a defensive end.
- Shows ability to expose weaker offensive tackles. A good inside rip move when tackles are off balance.
CONS
- Not heavily depended on at Penn State. A rotational end.
- Very weak against the run. Loses the battle at the line of scrimmage and has issues getting off blocks, even against weaker competition.
- Engulfed by highly rated offensive tackles (i.e. Alabama's DJ Fluker). Unable to make an impact against higher echelon players.
Special Notes:
- Related to Phiadelphia basketball legend Sonny Hill.
- Will turn 25 in February
Projection: Late Round to Undrafted
- Unless he's one of those workout warrior types that combines it with great size, it's very hard for me to see him making an impact in the NFL.
