Ex-Bills coach inked by Pittsburgh; Fewell news

nick@wgr550.com

(WGR 550) -- If the Bills offensive line play cost Sean Kugler his job, it didn't deter a much more successful club from taking a chance on the Lockport native.

Kugler will replace Larry Zierlein as Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach. Zierlein, perhaps coincidentally, was an assistant offensive line coach with the Bills in 2006.

Kugler played his college ball at UTEP, later spending seven years as an assistant with the Miners. After UTEP won the WAC in 2000, Kugler left town for Detroit, where he was an assistant with the Lions until 2005.

Perry Fewell met with the New York Giants about their vacant defensive coordinator position on Thursday, according to the Associated Press. Fewell has been linked with the open Bears defensive coordinator position multiple times, but is said to still be holding out hope for the Bills head position, according to the Chicago Tribune.

I cant believe..
... noone wants to even touch the bills job ITS A JOKE. Honestly if we get stuck with the same oldsame old id rather see the bills out then getting stuck with a losing team with no playoff hopes. I feel bad for the bills and all us bills fans.

I got that feeling the longer this goes...
Fewell will be back. I see 6-10 again. Please no!! It's either Cowher or I quit my seasons tickets.

Billick, Martz or Jim Mora Jr, or Dom Capers
why are the Bills NOT even talking to or about any these guys?????

Billick, Martz, or Jim Mora Jr. or Dom Capers
no one istalking to them because they are not good...Capers you could make a case for but otherwise he is not good at HEAD COACHING the position we are hiring for. The other three ruin offenses and and I cant Believe you could even say Mike MArtz that isthe worse option in the world...as a matter a fact any coach that is on NFL network commenting is there for a reason they cant hack it.

Good Bye Bills
They are not talking about those guys because they probably have been told already to stay away.

Re:Billick, Martz or Jim Mora Jr, or Dom Capers
Especially Billick-the guy has won a SB and from everything I read it sounds like he'd actually be interested in the job! Get on that Buddy!

RE: Billick
I know. What the hell are the Bills doing not talking to Billick? Are they waiting for more time. Talk to him Buddy. Or maybe Nix is another Tom Donahoe... impressed by coordinator interviews. Who cares?

Billick Not Good?
Really? Are you serious here? You have had Williams, Malarky Jauron and Fewell....and Billick is not good enough? Seriously? Where do you all come up with this stuff?

NY Giants are closing in on signing Perry Fewell, so much for one of the two top candidates..

RE: Billick
Billick has won a Super Bowl made it to many playoffs yup nothing like Bills have had for 10years...no good!

Ralph running things
It has become obvious that again...sadly...Ralhp Wilson is the one who is conducting this search. He had no interest in Marty Schottenheimer and that is assanine. He is the reason Billick has not been called either. Ralph wants a stinky, loser milquetoast turd as a head coach that will not question him. I said last week before all of the sad news came out the last couple days that they were going to hire Frazier. It definitely looks like that will happen now. This is all Ralph's doing. Buddy Nix and Russ Brandon have no real power at all and the results so far show that.
