Funniest On-Air Experience:
At my first radio job in Elmira, our news Director was doing a live report from a hostage situation...we had no live truck and no cell phones so he had to use a nearby pay phone...during his report about this tense drama unfolding, his time ran out and the recording of the operator asking him to deposit more money to continue the conversation, came on the air. He was able to dig some money out of his pocket for the call to continue.
Strangest On-Air Moment:
While working in TV, seeing a co-host have a hair piece pulled off his head by a pro wrestler who was trying to demonstrate a move.
Biggest Moment in Buffalo Sports:
Jeremy and I beating Lindy Ruff and Larry Playfair in a miniature golf challenge..until a Super Bowl or Stanley Cup win, I'll stick with that.
I Attribute WGR's Success to:
Paying people I know to listen to the show.
My Hero Growing Up Was:
Gigantor...how cool was he? A giant robot that had the power to fly! (The serious answer is my Dad who worked worked in this business and taught me so much about it and who set a great example on being a dad.)
Favorite Restaurant:
Any one that serves food...I'm not picky.
Favorite Movie:
Field of Dreams...I've always liked Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones. Plus, the concept of being able to see great players from before I was born is really cool.
Favorite TV Show
It was the West Wing..as far as current shows...it had a slow start to this season but I'll go with Friday Night Lights.
