Jauron Flies East for New Job

nick@wgr550.com

(WGR 550) -- A lot of Bills fans labeled Dick Jauron a goat during his time in Buffalo, but the former head coach has found new footing as an Eagle.

NFL.com is reporting that Jauron will join Andy Reid's staff in Philadelphia as a defensive backs coach. He played that position in the NFL during an eight-year playing career. The Eagles will be the sixth team he's coached for after spending time in Green Bay, Jacksonville, Chicago, Detroit and Buffalo (twice).

The Eagles have already hired former Bills special teams coach Bobby April to man that same position in Philadelphia.

The Stimulus Dollars should help Ralph
What a streak of luck for the tight fisted Bills owner. Eagles owner Laurie has continued to provide Wilson with bailout dollars. After absorbing the Franchise left tackle dollars for Jason Peters the Eagles then essentiallly took the need of Bobby April to collect his remaining two years off the table. The latest $450K savings from the Jauron signing should help him even more. Perhaps Ralphie will flip the bucks into a proven DC or some established FA talent --- Then again I need to wake up- odds say this money goes to a vault in Detroit.

Give it a rest
He may not have been a good HC for us but the guy knows football. Maybe he will do a great job as DB coach? Andy Reid (who is a good HC) obviously saw something. Lets wish him the best and move on. Remember, our current coaching staff as constructed may do even worse.

should have kept him
i feel we should have kept Dick. It was the Media who got him fired. You had to keep him for the integrity of the organIzation

Don't know Andy is smoking but I think the league should look into it. After this McNab should asked to be traded

Flies east?
Couldn't he drive? It's close enough, isn't it?

wideright
Are the bills still paying his contract. If so then he has to be the paid defensive backs coach ever.

Good Luck!
The coach was over his head and out of position here, duh! I think he just may have gotten a position that he's qualified for. No beef from me about DJ, at least he wasn't a jerk. He just accepted a job here over his head and even got a contract extension. Now whose fault is that? Good Luck DJ!
