MIAMI, FL (WGR 550) -- LeBron James finally won his first championship as the Miami Heat took down the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 in Game Five of the NBA Finals.
James was awarded the Bill Russell trophy, as he averaged 28.6 points per game in the playoffs. In the grand finale, James knocked in 26 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds.
Miami went on a scoring streak in the third quarter, were they outscored the Thunder 36-22. Kevin Durant finished the night with 32 points, as his team dropped their four straight game after winning game one.
James faced much controversy when he left his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Heat in 2010. Two years later, James finally has his championship and Bill Russell trophy to go along with his three MVP titles.
