The Unknown Bills Blogger

Hey Bills Fans,

This week seems to have flown by.  For me time flies either when I am having fun or am really busy.  I'd like to think it’s a little of both.  Funny thing is I did fewer activities outside of work than any other week.  I just relaxed at the house, watched movies and tested out some of the wife’s new dishes.  Man, those quesadillas were good last night.  My college roommate had a quesadilla maker back in the dorm room and I guess that got me so narrow minded to think that’s the only way you can make them.  I was proved wrong, surprised and I think that’s why they were so good.

The rest of the time flew because I was busy at work.  I wasn’t overly impressed with my performance last Sunday and definitely wanted to step it up this game.  To quote Muhammad Ali, “The fight is won or lost far away from the witnesses, behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road; long before I dance under those lights.”  This week, I went back to my roots and made sure to follow this quote.  You see, this quote has helped me get where I am today and I know to keep following it and I will have a much better chance at having a long career.  Much like the rest of our team, when I left college, I was not a sure fire lock to make a team and worked my butt off to get here.  In my gym there was a poster in front of a treadmill of Muhammad Ali with the above mentioned quote.  I would stare and read the quote repeatedly and just keep running all the while increasing speed.  Ever since that time, every time I got tired during training I’d remember how much faster and further I went just from being mentally strong and know I had more in me and know I had to do more to be better.  Let’s hope staying true to what got me here will also help to keep making me a better player.  You’ll have to let me know if I do better this weekend…if you can figure out who I am!

Excited to get down and play in Dallas.  One of the exciting parts of my job is to go to all the different stadiums and see them.  Dallas is brand new, has that giant jumbotron and should be a lot of fun to see…before the game.  Once the ball is kicked all the fields are the same size and everything outside the white lines becomes a blur. So don’t worry about us being awestruck and not taking care of why we are there!  We are all looking forward to taking care of business this Sunday!

Catch up with you guys next week, enjoy the weekend and don’t have too much of a hangover on Sunday to party in your living rooms like you would at the Ralph!
