Pair of WRs Miss Bills Practice, Kelsay Returns
The Buffalo Bills have been no stranger to injuries this season, and it was felt on Wednesday at practice with the amount of players not participating.
With Eric Wood and Chris White already put on Injured Reserve for the season, the Bills were without six players in their first practice of the week. Stevie Johnson, George Wilson, David Nelson, Erik Pears, Spencer Johnson and Rian Lindell all did not participate.
Stevie Johnson, Lindell and Wilson were not expected to practice. Nelson, Pears and Spencer Johnson were a bit of a surprise. Wednesdays are usually the day that teams allow players to take a rest day and prepare for the rest of the week along with the game. It remains to be seen if that's the case for those three players.
Wideout David Nelson confirmed that Wednesday was only a rest day for him. He'll be back practicing with the team on Thursday.
On the plus-side, both Chris Kelsay and Demetrius Bell returned to practice on Wednesday. Kelsay told reporters he would be ready to play against the Miami Dolphins this weekend. Bell has been rehabbing a shoulder injury since Week Four of the season.
The Bills continue practice Thursday at One Bills Drive.
