Report: Gailey to consider Vick

(WGR 550) -- ESPN's Len Pasquarelli says sources tell him new Bills coach Chan Gailey is indeed interested in talking about Michael Vick as his starting quarterback.

Pasquarelli says the Bills definitely won't stand pat at quarterback and that Gailey's success with Kordell Stewart in Pittsburgh points to the coach looking toward a mobile option under center.

Earlier in the week, The Buffalo News' Allen Wilson said it would take a late-round pick to get Vick from Philadelphia.

Good Move
T.O. may stick around then!
02/01/2010 7:19AM
i hate cowboys ex coaches
say it ain't so...
02/01/2010 7:33AM
Uh?
Why don't we see if Todd marinovich is available first. Better accuracy, less baggage
02/01/2010 7:38AM
NO WAY
This guy is a running back who can throw. If the Bills get him it will take this organization further back into the dark ages. We need a fresh start, not an average answer at quarterback. This will be a huge mistake, and will further alienate the disappointed fan base even more. Come on Bills, get a clue.......
02/01/2010 7:38AM
NOOOOOO!
Worst. Idea. Ever.
02/01/2010 7:40AM
Not a chance.
Tim tebow has a southern accent. Vick doesn't. It's a no brainer. Yeee haw!
02/01/2010 7:57AM
RaeRae
I will stop being a fan and burn all my gear if they bring in VIck
02/01/2010 7:58AM
Fine....
He paid his debt to society...It's not like he got suspended for a few games....the guy went to prison and served his time...bring him in ONLY if he still has the skills!!
02/01/2010 8:02AM
what do we have to lose?
Give it a shot! Vick may be the answer... if not we will find someone else! We all know the bills will not go 11-5 next season... time to try something new, and get this team back in the media spotlight. Maybe the national attention will bring about morepressure on the font office to succeed!
02/01/2010 8:04AM
Never
If they get Vick I'll never watch a Bill's game ever again.
02/01/2010 8:05AM
No to an Average QB?
When was the last time we had an average QB? Doug Flutie? There is never more than 1 or 2 QBs in the draft that ever end up becoming "elite" and a few "average" QBs. I'll take a little passing game over what we got now...
02/01/2010 8:24AM
Bad Person and Average QB
My vote is for a Jimmy Clausen at #9 and the future. This would be an idiotic move by the Bills. I'd rather lose for another season with rookie QB Clausen than have this bum on the team running all over the place. QBs like this do not win Super Bowls. And anyone who can hang and drown dogs doesn't just change and become a good person because the law made them sit in jail for a couple years. Sorry. He's a loser.
02/01/2010 8:26AM
Good move.
Much better QB than what he had in recent past.
02/01/2010 8:40AM
More Fun!!!
Would it not be more fun to watch Vick than any of the boring offenses we have suffered through the past handful of years? Don't get me wrong,I think he's a scumbag but his time has been served. If it costs a 5th or 6th rounder to get him whatdo you have to lose? He would be the most exciting QB to play for this team since Flutie and that was fun to watch.I'm tired of this team being boring and crappy!!!
02/01/2010 8:40AM
HAHA
For all you "fans" that will "stop watching" or "find a new team"... GO RIGHT AHEAD. You are obviously not true fans anyways. I like the moves they are making. Vick would only make our offense more explosive and yea... TO might want to stick around the next couple years... I say draft a 3rd round QB and build from there....
02/01/2010 9:05AM
Don't Worry Fans
I love the comments that if the Bills sign Vick, they're done as fans. Don't worry, there will be plenty of potential ticket holders eager to take your place, especially at the Bills criminally low ticket prices.
02/01/2010 9:06AM
Buys us time
This draft should be dedicated to building infrastructure with both lines holding priority followed by big linebackers. It would be premature to draft a QB at thsi juncture until the team is structurally sound. The aquisition of Vick would bring a decent stop gap while other pieces are secured.
02/01/2010 9:08AM
Why not both Vick and Tebow?
Why not bring in Vick for the interim to give Tebow, Clausen, or whomever time to develop and learn the system. It worked for Aaron Rodgers...
02/01/2010 9:10AM
Why not both?
For a late round pick, it's worth the risk to bring in Vick. Also, it gives a drafted QB time to properly learn the offense.
02/01/2010 9:16AM
GEE THIS IS A NO BRAINER
we could enjoy another 16 games of fitz or trent..throw brohm out there to get punished...draft one of these over rated Rookies...or have a veteran QB that can run away from defenders as they are trying to sack him...dont forget we have one of the worse O lines in the league. Get VIck for 1 year then if he fails go after a rookie. its pretty clear cut.
02/01/2010 9:19AM
Fine
If its the pre-prison performing Vick who was one of the most dynamic players in the league, then okay. Not a good idea if he's really lost his game and is just a gimmick like he was in Philly.
02/01/2010 9:22AM
The 7:38 post
"a running back who can throw?" We need someone WHO CAN THROW! Get rid of the 3 stooges back there, and back up Vick with another lefty in the draft (Tebow). And if anyone has a problem with Vick's "debt to society", it willstart all over again when he gets behind our OL.
02/01/2010 9:24AM
Re: Never
"IF we get Vick I'll never watch a Bills game again" and instead I'll watch a looping version of Sarah McLaughlin's ASPCA commercial for 4hours during the games and pledge my money to money making scheme for a near futile cause.
02/01/2010 9:27AM
Possible contingency plan
I'll give them credit in this regard, by bringing in Vick it shows that they are going to dump Trent "the twit" Edwards. Bringing in Vick for now can make sense. It only makes sense however as long as he is not the long term answer. They need to draft a QB this year. If they don't that says to me that this is a contingency plan based on the fact that Ralph can keel over at any minute because of his age. Brandon, Nix and Modrak know that they are gone once Wilson dies so bringing in Vick and not drafting a QB is just a pathetic transparent move to sell tickets and merchandise and an insult to the fans intelligence.
02/01/2010 9:32AM
get Vick skip QB draft pick
not sure if Vick is the answer but at least it's something, and if we get him we can save a pick on a lame late round QB, next year's QB's look better anyway...
02/01/2010 9:53AM
Oh NO! Not Vick!
Isn't Kurt Warner available? Really guys, C'mon, Vick?? He is Mediocre at best
02/01/2010 10:04AM
CHAN THE MAN!!!
WOULD BE A GREAT MOVE WE NEED VICK!
02/01/2010 10:14AM
Get Vick and draft a QB
Go ahead and get Vick and draft a Tebow in the 3rd, this way we can go after a OT in the 1st round or move back and still pick up one of the OT's
02/01/2010 10:16AM
vick is a good choice
with our poor offensive line, we need a qb that can scramble and make plays on his feet. it adds so much to an offense. sure his past is not the best, but who are we to judge, i am sure we have all done something wrong. statiscally drafting a qb doesnt work, i would rather get a veteren qb any day of the week. and for those who say they will stop being a fan....get real, how long have you been saying that already...2 or 3 coaches ago perhaps
02/01/2010 10:18AM
idiots
i hope all you idiots that are hating on vick never watch again. oh you wanna get a guy that was at one point the highest paid qb in the league for a late round pick?? done! do it. do it now. everyone that hates clearly only listens to the media and doesnt watch the game. go read up idiots
02/01/2010 10:19AM
Do it!
Draft a QB, but Vick knows this game. He didn't show much this year, but he didn't play much either. He knows that where ever he goes this will be his last chance to be a starter. He's hungry! Look I have two rescue dogs. I HATE whathe did, but he also did time for it. The QB situation here has been a joke since Flutie left...JUST DO IT!!!!
02/01/2010 10:33AM
Love it
Trade for Vick then use 2nd or 3rd round pick on Lefevour!!
02/01/2010 10:35AM
Dont Watch
Im sorry, but im not saying Vick is THE solution, but he is A solution to the horrible quarterbacks we have now. The baggage he brings sucks, but oh well. None of the quarterbacks in this draft are guarenteed starters and winners in this league even in Bradford and Clausen. Vick will be a short term answer so then the first pick in the draft and possibly the second can be used for other needs. I dont see much disparity in Bradford and say a 2nd or third rounder in Pike or Lefevour. Use our first picks for other holes and put faith in Lefevour or PikE. NOT TEBOW. If you dont like Vick Dont watch then.
02/01/2010 10:36AM
Do it!
Keep fitzpatrick, drop edwards, brohm. Pick up Vick. Get a rookie QB. Vick can at least run for his life given the poor line while you figure that out. Draft an OL and look in free agency. If you can get a decent line with Vick he can make it work. Fitz can be there to help out since he knows the plan and is less terrible then the rest of the current QB lineup. You still have a rookie that you can shape for a season or two and the fans still get exciting football. I would say keep TO since he is exciting and you could make a good deal for him given lack of interest and poor stats last year. Evans TO and either one of the young guys or draft a rookie or free agent thats up and coming or needs a little work. I think it's time to trash Roscoe and maybe even Josh.
02/01/2010 10:52AM
WHY NOT?
with our O line, probably the best possible qb we could get at the moment, do it please
02/01/2010 10:53AM
Bye Bye Rae Rae
You were never a real fan anyway!
02/01/2010 10:58AM
Go for it
BILLS fan who refuse to go are just full of bull****. Once Training camp comes around, you all will be paying attention to what goes on at One Bills Drive. Vick paid his debt to society. Get over it already. There are players in the league who have done FAR worse than Vick. Everyone deserves a second chance, bring Vick to Buffalo!
02/01/2010 11:04AM
CHA CHING $$$$$$
If the Bills want to sell tickets this is the best way to do it!! He may not be the best option but with this franchises track record of incompetence it may be as good as we could hope for. Troy Smith is my personal favorite but I surely don't see the Bills having the gull to make such a move, even though it wouldn't take that much. AS LONG AS THE TRENT EXPERIMENT IS OVER!!! NO MORE QB'S WITHOUT THE PHYSICAL ABILITY WE PLAY IN THE ELEMENTS. By the way Tebow is not an option either he's basically Vick without the experience or speed no thanks.
02/01/2010 11:14AM
Stop with the "I wont Watch"
If you have lasted this far over the past 10 years, bringing in one guy who actually makes this team a little better, is not going to turn you off completly, so stop with the I wont watch, b/c we all know you will. Vick is not THE sollution, but is A soulltion. He allows the Bills to use their first 1 or 2 picks on another big need, OT or LB, or DE. There is not much difference between Bradford/Clausen and Lefevour and Pike. But none will make this team better than what Vick can Possibly do. At least Vick can run out of the pocket for a yr or two while this line has a chance to solidify itself. Vick, is the best option at the moment especially for a late round pick.
02/01/2010 11:17AM
reminds me of T.O.
last year everyone talked about how T.O. was the answer, now it's Vick, I predict another below average season, but at least all you Vick fans will be out to buy up the tickets for old ralphie :D
02/01/2010 11:35AM
vick at night
Sounds good to we can run all kinds gadgets plays and use the wild cat formation.
02/01/2010 11:37AM
Scum bag
I'm 76 years old.I've been a Bills fan since George Ratterman was the quarterback.I've seen them all.Vick is not a quarterback. He is a sad excuse for a human being and I don't want him in my town.
02/01/2010 11:47AM
Morons
You would be better off bringing back JP then with Vick. The only thing that ever made him any good was the fact that he could run....guess what? HE CAN'T EVEN DO THAT ANYMORE....
02/01/2010 12:18PM
He Did His Time
Get Vick. Dump Edwards. Keep Fitz and Brohm. Don't draft a QB any higher than the 3rd round. We need guys who can play now at left tackle. If we are going 3-4 we need a DT, a middle linebacker like McClain so Poz can move outside plus a 3-4 end. Nohigh draft projects please. Getting back to Vick I think all you dog lovers have to forgive him. He paid the ultimate price possible for his crimes---he lost his freedom and his livelihood. Get off your sanctimonious soap boxes. Doug in Erie.
02/01/2010 12:23PM
Bad Move
Like many others commenting here, I have been a Bills fan since I was 5 years old...I think this is a hugh mistake, I was at the game when we played Atlanta a few years ago during the Donohugh Dark Years and what i saw from Vick on the field is the same way he has conducted his personal life, a spoiled jerk. I am more in favor of going with a rookie like Tebow (who has won every where he has gone) who conducts himself like a responsible adult.
02/01/2010 12:24PM
master plan
bring vick in for a year or two, draft a LT 1st round, QB early 2nd - McCoy or Tebow should be around. Then go from there, let the line gel for a few years then throw in the young guy. We need a free agent QB for a year or two. If you have a better option besides Vick, then by all means say something. Right now I don't see it. I dont condone killing dogs but lets think about this. Ray Lewis killed a HUMAN and he is glorified every Sunday. He didnt kill my dogg so if he can win us football games more power to him.
02/01/2010 12:30PM
Doug in Erie
You 'da man.
02/01/2010 12:30PM
to the guy who wrote about clausen
clausen sucks, hes a bum and played for a notre dame team that had some of its worst records in their history, yeah thats the guy we want to lead the bills, another loser
02/01/2010 12:31PM
Finally! Finally! Finally!!
As a diehard Bills Fan, signing Michael Vick is the smartest move since Jim Kelly. Like it or not, Michael Vick is a change man. But most importantly, he's a winner. Finally, Ralph has put his prejudice aside and go after the most fascinating, dynamic, athletic and fastest quarterback on Earth . Every since Jim Kelly, we've been sitting on pins and needles, hoping a QB will develop. Hoping the QB doesn't get sacked in the red zone, again and again. Hoping a QB can score more than 2 TD a game. hoping the QB doesn't throw another INT. Finally!! Finally, Bills Fans, we shall do on to others as they have done onto us!! Finally, we shall have the No#1 wild cat offense, if we chose to. Finally, I see shall see TD in the "Red Zone". Finally, we shall see a winning record! Yes, a winning record. Finally we shall defeat The New England. Finally, I we shall be playoffs as contenders. Yes, finally!! Yes, Finally!! I want to be the first to Thank Coach Chan Gaily for taking the interest in Michael Vick. And finally, Thank You once again, Mr Ralph Wilson.
02/01/2010 12:32PM
QB
I'd rather have Colt McCoy than clausen, vick or tebow
02/01/2010 1:04PM
100%
All for this. Would make for an interesting season. And all of you morons, crying about a future qb, read. It would be a late round pick. Could still draft a good QB, and give him time to develop rather than sticking him in there and getting shell shocked his first year.
02/01/2010 1:15PM
Re: Finally! Finally! Finally!!
wow
02/01/2010 1:19PM
What do Vick Flutie and Vince Young have in common?
They win games. Maybe not conventionally but they win. Bring him in, besides we could use some mobility with that forever now porous o line
02/01/2010 1:20PM
Vick in Orchard Park
Trade talks have already begun, Vick will be a Bill.
02/01/2010 1:29PM
Seeing as that the Bills
are becoming the perfect team for falling stars and reformed criminals Im not surprised. I know he needs work but Id rather see Tebow. At this point I good attitude and his will to win would be refreshing. Anyone with that much determination to be succesful can correct his release time
02/01/2010 1:40PM
BEST NEWS...
To come out of One Bills Drive SINCE DICK JAURON GOT FIRED! Bring Vick and draft Tebow or another good college qb. Then IMMEDIATELY CUT Edwards and Fitz.
02/01/2010 1:56PM
RE: Vick in OP
Yeah, seems like I heard that last year too.
02/01/2010 2:06PM
Do It
I love dogs I love the bills... I don't agree with what he did but its over now... Whoever we bring in it does not matter because of our poor play. What it all boils down too is that we Cheer for the Buffalo Bills, not the person inside of the jersey. Go Bills! we will support the team
02/01/2010 2:28PM
WE WANT VICK!!!!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SIGN VICK!
02/01/2010 2:39PM
It's About Time!
This should have happened last year instead of picking-up Fitzpatrick!
02/01/2010 2:42PM
im gone
if the bills sign that hunk of crap vick, im gone. im not gonna support a team with players like that on it. thats prob the worst thing they can do for the team. just what we need. ive talked to alot of people, and they have all said that they would be done with the bills if they signed him. and these r people that have been dihards since the early 90's. they think its a horrible idea and so do i. ill route for someone else if the bills sign him. maybe even the patroits
02/01/2010 2:43PM
Yeeeeah Man..
Yo... If The Bills get Mike Vick... Maaaaan.. Oooo Weee.. I'm to exicted to even type right now.
02/01/2010 2:48PM
Vick
He is the short term awnser to our qb issue.
02/01/2010 3:09PM
re: WE WANT VICK!!!!!
speak for yourself there...
02/01/2010 3:25PM
Get an O-Line - Not a Mediocre QB
If you get an o-line, you dont need Vick to scramble about. A scrambling QB means you have a poor o-line. Fitzy would be fine if he didnt get killed every down. Trade for a GOOD QB. Vick isnt a good qb. He mediocre at best. Get a REAL QB. Lets raise the bar a notch. Remember Steve Young? The awful Tampa Bay Buccaneer QB?
02/01/2010 3:36PM
No way
I;m pretty much done with this team anyway. If Vick comes to Buffalo I am 100% done.
02/01/2010 3:45PM
Bye Bills, if you ever stoop to this
Parasitical dog murderer on my team, no thanks.
02/01/2010 4:36PM
Why not bring back
Doug Flutie? If Vick comes I am officially done with the Buffalo Bills.
02/01/2010 4:37PM
Vick and Lynch....
= Cheech and Chong. Doritos sales in Buffalo will increase exponentially.
02/01/2010 4:40PM
Draft this guy
Dan LeFevour. Big, tough, pllays in the COLD, a winner. Id take him over Vick OR Tebow in a heartbeat. Calusen? Havent we had enough California QB failures???
02/01/2010 5:33PM
if you leave the bills your not a fan
so just leave now and save everyone the trouble of reading your pathetic comments
02/01/2010 5:54PM
yeah vick
it'd be sweet to have a qb with playoff experience, fast, and has a rocket arm.. bills should give that a try sometime.
02/01/2010 6:30PM
What's this WE...
crap...you got a mouse in your pants.
02/01/2010 6:37PM
People who are "done"
by that logic shouldnt you have stopped being a Bills fan when OJ killed 2 people? Idiots...
02/01/2010 6:45PM
Not a Bad Idea!
this about this ;you get Vick for a 6th or 7th round draft choice, the bills use there top draft choices for o-line and defense help. Worse case they draft jake locker from wahington next year! JUST PLEASE NO JIMMY CLAUSEN FROM NOTRE DAME!!
02/01/2010 7:06PM
cry babies...
get vick in here if all they want is a 6th or 7th....beef up the lines with our picks..and start winning games..THE END...
02/01/2010 7:46PM
Good QB?
If you don't count this medicore year, Vick still only threw 71 touchdowns in 74 games, he passes for 155 yards per game, and only once cracked the 80 QB rating, and while he can run, how when he was playing in a nice warm temperature controled dome, whats going to happen when he has to play all those games in the cold northeast in the rain and snow
02/01/2010 7:55PM
Fair weather
The Bills need a QB who can move behind this bad O-Line. That would be the biggest consideration. The fact that he ran a dog fighting ring should have been settled with his prison time. If that's too much of a problem for dog lovers, I don't know what to say!
02/01/2010 8:06PM
Really?
And if we dont get Vick next year and our offense is anywhere near as boring as it was thuis year are any of you who didnt want him going to feel differently? He's an exciting guy to watch that and there wasnt much exciting about our offense.
02/01/2010 8:24PM
Why not!
The people of Buffalo stop whining. This is a desperate organization. We need something. Root for the team not the player. It's funny how people get righteous when it is someone else when they just cheated on their spouse or did something else no one knows about. The seats will be full and the whiners will whine.
02/01/2010 8:38PM
vick over tebow
some guys said theyll burn their bills gear if we get vick. i'll never watch another bills game in my life if we draft tebow. i'll commit 100% to the raiders, like i was in the early 90's. look i love dogs too but i love my city more, we need wins not some guy who cant think straight unless jesus is directing him.
02/01/2010 9:51PM
Surprised?
Ha! I fully expect this to happen because that is how screwed up the Bills are!
02/01/2010 10:03PM
So what! Go ahead and dont watch anymore, losers!
Your not a true fan if you root for any other team in the NFL if the Bills get Vick!! NFL is entertainment and you LOSERS need to stop taking it so personally and stop trying to be in athletes personal business and just watch the darn game!! But if you dont, all you clowns who say you've been a lifelong fan or a fan for a long time are losing out, not the Bills or the true Bills fans who just wanna see a good football team again! You wanna complain about some real dirtbags? Complain about our politicians both Republican and Democratic! And to the old 76 year old guy, this is all of our town, not just yours! Most people on this commentary want the Bills to SIGN VICK!!!
02/01/2010 10:22PM
dog murderers=winners
superbowl baby
02/01/2010 10:43PM
Re: Finally! Finally! Finally!!
Double wow
02/01/2010 11:03PM
Who Cares?,
Here is my two sense. Those of you that are thinking of swearing off the Bills if they sign Vick are going to have a hard time finding another team to root for, because most teams have people on them that came from very violent backgrounds with tainted pasts. Look at Baltimore and Ray Lewis. Look at the Giants, look at Cleveland, Jets, Patriots and Moss. My point is, take it or leave it, most teams have people with some sort of criminal record on them. Don't get me wrong, Johnney Mexico is a sick dude, but if you boycot the Bills, then boycot the NFL because Most teams have baggage players they are willing to keep.
02/01/2010 11:27PM
Not Even News People
The Bills would "consider" anyone for QB (Just like the coach search, remember???)... actually signing them is a different story.
02/01/2010 11:40PM
Bring him in...
Look where DJ and all that "character" got us, NOWHERE!! Bring in some scumbags that will WIN GAMES!!! It's football. Trade Lynch for him, they need a better back. Oh, and Tebow isn't good enough to be a QB in the NFL, Vick still is.
02/02/2010 12:56AM
Get an O-line-not a mediocre Qb... get a clue dude
A good Qb makes a sub par o-line look damn good just ask Packers fans. Let me get this straight "Fitzy would be fine" your nuts! "Fitzy" and Trent are backups and always will be even if the Bills continue to start them ha!!! Not that Vick is great but he's a football player something the Bills haven't had at Qb for some time. This franchise wouldn't know what to do with a drop pack passer if they lucked into one just get something interesting to watch.
02/02/2010 1:03AM
Season tickets anybody?
To anyone and everyone stating that they will not watch the Bills anymore if we get Michael Vick: I am seeking 4 season tickets preferably around the 40 yard line. So please don't watch the Bills anymore and get rid of your season tickets too. Many people, including myself would love to purchase your tickets. Also, to all of these people stating that they want Tim Tebow: He has never run a Pro Style Offense in his life (look it up if you don't know what it is), and it is extemely unlikely that he will adapt to the NFL which uses Pro Style Offenses. Just because Tebow was great in college and a good religious person doesn't mean he will have a good career in the NFL (see Danny Wuerffel and Ryan Leaf). I agree with some people on here in the fact that we need a LB like Rolando Mcclain or a LT with the 9th overall pick and then pick up Tony Pike or Colt Mccoy who will both probably be available. With our young O-Line, we need someone who can fend for himself for another year or two until our O-Line can mature and learn to gel.
02/02/2010 2:40AM
Bring on Vick
He's a better option than anyone else in free agency or the draft. By the way he only killed dogs, not people.
02/02/2010 3:44AM
Stop with the " Did his time" please
It's not the punishment stupid, it's the crime. He cold heartedly KILLED DOGS. You can root for someone capable of that? He said in his " showing remorse" press conference it was "immature" No, it was inhumane. Serial killers kill animals- that's Vick.
02/02/2010 6:17AM
So called Football fans
the man served his time, we as society claim we give people second chances but in reality we dont. The guy would be here to play football, not to be the face of the franchise. Come on buffalo lets stop making excuses for wanting to continue to be losers.

vick
people always say i'm not gonig to pay for season tickets or be a bills fan anymore. we don't need you anyway.i'm glad we have someone who is willing to turn us around.vick is still young and has the tools to help any team.if we get himwe can look for help on d. tebow is not ready it showed in the sr. bowl. we could use someone like cody from alb.so for all you haters just keep crying and wait and see this team will be better with vick .then you can jump back on the wagon.

Think People!
For all you idiots who swear to never watch a bills game again or call this the worst move ever(rob johnson, donahoe, williams, melarky, jauron, yeah those guys are MUCH better decisions than an electrifying qb)...think to yourselves...what's your other option? aj feeley? charlie batch? a qb draft class that shows signs of 1 decent qb and he'll be gone by the 5th pick!! btw all itll cost is a 4th or 5th rounder? cmon man
02/02/2010 9:44AM
humm
Its funny..The Bills fans are alright with a man who Struck a woman and ran and hid, that didnt make them give up watching the Bills...but Vick is the last straw..You people are pathetic..Vick is better than what we have and is what is avalable in the draft...I say sign Vick, Draft a 3rd or 4th round QB and have him play behind vick and whoever we have as our 3rd QB so he learns the game
02/02/2010 11:07AM
Another Felon
Is just what the Bills need.
02/02/2010 11:48AM
whats he gonna learn from vick?
how to run? the guy is not accurate and the minute things break down hes running. so when the 30 mph swirling winds come howling through the stadium i guess we wont even need receivers. dog fighting stuff aside, the guy is a average quarterback at best. we already have 2 of those. and NO i wont keep supporting this team as i have done for the past 20 year. gave up seasons last year and am glad i didnt waste me sundays sitting through that garbage. keep selling out the stadium, ralph doesnt care hes laughing all the way to the bank...in detroit. when that stadium is empty maybe he'll listen. just like that 10 million dollar coach....riiiiiiight. who bought into that one???

Character Counts
Chan wants men with character; Mike Vick is not the answer. He's actually a PR nightmare, and just an 'adequate' QB at this point in his career. I'd rather have Jeff Garcia for a couple of years.
02/02/2010 11:50AM
Lynch can go too
Many are NOT OK with Marshawns act and as far as Im concerned he can go! Fred Jackson is a better back and a better citizen.
02/02/2010 12:56PM
LOOK AGAIN !!
VICK IS NOT THE ANSWER. CHECK THE STATS, EDWARDS HAS A BETTER RATING THAN VICK. TRADE FOR JASON CAMPBELL. LOOK AT HIS STATS, AND DRAFT LEFEVOUR TO LEARN THE POSITION.

Sayanora!
Looking over these comments always give me a good indication who I live amongst in this region, community and where our society stands as a whole: supporters/sympathizers of thugs and their CRIMINAL—as in not lawful—behavior. Also, it reminds and gives me the will power to flee from this area. Why are these people the exception to the rule? Are they such great contributors to the greater good of mankind that they’re omnipotent to the established constitution? No. They are nothing more than petty scofflaws that strain our society and deserve to be made examples of; meaning not letting perpetrators back into their profession. I mean, these pro athletes think they can do anything from well, dog-fighting rings to murder and essentially get away with it. That’s gives our country such a pathetic image to the rest of the world. And I speak of everyone here from politicians to pro athletes. When as a society did we ever become so indifferent to the law to a degree that clouds our judgement, compromising the very fabric that’s defined our way of life? Are we that desperate? Don’t answer as that was asked rhetorically. This country used to be looked upon with reverence by others. I assure you that’s not the case now for many reasons which I’m not going to expound. These people who tolerate and accept such nuisance are the same who would give up their first born(if the child ever made it past the womb) for a Super Bowl/Stanley Cup championship. Yo homies, it’s only a sport! It doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Bottom line, Bills management be patient as there are other suitable, better candidates for starting QB. BTW: I don’t give a flying fig that they “did their time”, “paid their debt…” blah blah blah. Who in the right mind organizes and operates a dog-fighting ring on their free time…one that makes buku cash nonetheless? Who finds that entertaining? And with Lynch. Not only does he like to hit girls with his car and not be bothered to see if the human being is o.k., but he apparently has a knack for stealing money off tables too lol. I absolutely cannot WAIT until I receive my degree so I can move out of this place…preferably somewhere out of the country where the quality of life is better. Sayanora!

That's right, humm, it's about the cruelty
This is as good a litmus test for decency as I can imagine. Thanks to Bulldog, especially, who continues to show that he has no stomach for (or too much heart to be able to stomach)the raw cruelty of a creep like Michael Vick. Sadly, though, if the Bills make this move, I'm out as a lifelong Bills fan, and spectator. Bills fans who are brain dead or heartless enough to clamor for Vick can shove their visionary Super Bowl. (I'd get rid of Lynch tomorrow (for his hit and run) but there was nothing remotely impulsive about Vick's crimes.
02/02/2010 1:27PM
What's not funny, humm
is your transparency. Fortuntely. some of us are now dumb enough to overlook your heartlessness or to be hoodwinked by your point.
02/02/2010 2:46PM
Character?
I've never seen character score touchdowns stop being picky we suck and... that sucks at this point I hope the can put the Jolly green giant in a uniform to block for wonder woman.
02/02/2010 4:30PM
draft
still have to draft or get a younger Qb from free angency, if availible
02/02/2010 6:05PM
2010-2011 season
If the Bills sign Michael vick, I am going to have to find something else to do on Sundays in the fall. I will not support this team.

Football players are not role models
Never have been never will, read the police blotter its all over the league and always has been. Threatening that you will quite being a fan doesn't amount to anything, plus your probably not serious anyway. Whats cruel is the play of this footballteam, get some damn atheletes before they....uhh you know, It would be cruel to have a team with a bunch of "good guys" that we could tell our kids about and then have to explain why they're playing in another city. WINS WINS WINS
02/02/2010 6:41PM
SAYANORA PEEP THIS
You should study history before you leave this area(one of the best educators of all the states BTW) and you will see crime has been here since the beginning of time! We haven't grown more indifferent to crime its just reported everyday round the clock. If we reacted to all of it we would be entirely volatile and weak. This country was never looked at as some kind of saint, you were just a little kid then and mom and dad couldn't explain to you what an economic A kicker we were and why. Its reported differently now a days (thanks to the libs)the negativity will grow and apparently your lapping it up. ALEDGED 20 bucks off a table? I mean someone steels from you, you could actually go HOME and file a police report and the first people you contact are the local paper???? Frank Reich syndrome haha
02/02/2010 6:44PM
Hey
You people are all crazy Vick is better than what we have now...
02/02/2010 8:38PM
carry plastic bags and pick up after your dog
Mike Vick is coming to town, he's going to be OUR quarterback. OURS bills fans, all you diehards who have rooted for this losing sinking ship of despair for ten years can take your life vests off and jump overboard if you're not on board withthis. Mike Vick will take this team to the playoffs and i'm sure all of you nay-sayers will be watching. WELCOME TO BUFFALO MIKE VICK... you're going to love OUR fans.
02/02/2010 9:19PM
Picky?
The mere idea that we still have Marshawn Lynch on this team is proof enough that we're hardly being picky. By saying no to Vick, we're simply trying to show that there are limits to our willingness to degrade ourselves.
02/03/2010 5:06AM
deer, mice, bears, cats... but not dogs?
In some countries people eat our dogs, just like we eat their cattle and pigs. WHO CARES!we want Vick and Tebow
02/03/2010 5:08AM
Bring Vick in, And Owens Back
Hell yeah, and just for good luck Tebow for certain plays. I know Owens wants revenge.
02/03/2010 10:49AM
Think About IT!!!
All you Vick supporters who keeep saying that he has payed his debt to society, I have one question. Are you forgetting that he is a sub par QB at best and cannot hit the broad side fo the barn? Are you forgetting how many coaches have been fired because of him? Take away the dogfighting and he still has the ron mexico thing, the waterbottle with the hidden compartment at the airport thing, the man has more baggage than Paris Hilton.
02/03/2010 1:00PM
RE: Think About IT!!
Well buddy he knows how to win, run, catch and throw, and gotten his team to a superbowl, How far has Trent Edwards gotten in 3 years as a QB or Losman?? hmmm they havent gotten past 7 wins!! The fact is VICK is a threat on the field, and defenses havetough reads to follow. If they just draft and start a rookie - defenses will smell blood and just kill the Bills Rookie offensive line and then Kill the rookie.BUT this is the Bills were talking about and the deal wont happen.
02/04/2010 1:05PM
Ron Mexico
No player with a herpes infection will play for my team.
