The Buffalo Sabres have announced that they have fired Head Coach Lindy Ruff. The team made the announcement Wednesday afternoon before the team was to depart for Toronto for a game against the Maple Leafs Thursday night.
There is no word yet on who will be Ruff's replacement will be. He was the longest tenured coach in the NHL. The Sabres are off to a slow start in a shortened season, sitting in last place in the Northeast Division, sitting at 6-10-and-1.
