Still Getting Significantly Outshot
More than 5 SOG differential EVERY PERIOD on average (16 more SOG for the game). Eventually all these extra chances we yield will bite us.

Always good to win
But they were hemmed in their own zone constantly--is it cause the defense is too slow or the forwards don't back check? Watched OTT penalty killers charge our point men trying to set up, while our "box" collapsed around Lehner letting thepoints play around with the puck. Way too accommodating I'd say.

No Reason To Cheer
Their win one lose one mentality continues. The blueprints for this rebuild are flawed. I would say sell, sell, sell at the deadline however Murray can't be trusted to rebuild!

They're keeping pace... the standings, but not in the shot department or goals against. What troubles me is that they consistently are out shot night in and night out. If it weren't for the goaltenders, we would be sitting with Colorado as worst team in the league. Something has to get done. Finally, look at Auston Matthews, dude has what...27 goals? Eichel always said he's a "pass more" type player, but he does need to put the puck on net more if he ever wants to be the he claims he wants to be.

Better: But still outshot
They finally played a full 60 minutes. However, they are still allowing too many shots on net. According to ESPN and NHL Network they are allowing the most shots on net in the NHL. Where are the analytic guys on that story? That speaks volumes on thedefensive side of the puck!

Blysma is gone by Sunday.

SO WHAT......
02/15/2017 1:27PM
Douche and repeat ...
Time to move on from Gionta, Delauriers, Gorges, Franson, Grant, Kulikov, Fedun & Ennis ... Trade Kane while he is HOT. 40 shots per game by the opponent gets you nothing. Who wants to limp into the playoffs with this team ? Not me ... not to watch them go down to an elite team in 5 games in Round 1 ! We need D !!!

Big deal
the annual climb up the standings to 9th place in the conference excites me not. This time of year the pretenders all run for the bus. Dump all the overpaid veterans and insert the few Rochester prospects. If Bylsma is a valid coach he should not find this an issue. His slow, boring, defensive strategy may help keep the scores close but is far from entertaining. In the final analysis, no one buys a ticket to watch any coach, general manager, or owner do anything.

Comment :
Are you sold on Robin Lehner as the Sabres #1 goalie?
Yes. His play the last 2 months has sold me.
Not yet. I need to see him play well/stay healthy the rest of the season.
  No. He's not the answer. I wouldn't re-sign him.
