Sabres' Girgensons heads to the All Star game


The NHL wraps up games on Wednesday and then the whole league is off for the All Star break. The only Sabre attending the festivities in Columbus is Zemgus Girgensons.
 
 

Zetterberg, Red Wings Rally For 6-4 Win


Ahead 3-0 after the first period, the Sabres were outscored by the Red Wings 6-1 over the final 40 minutes on the way to their 11th straight loss. Henrik Zetterberg picked up half of Detroit's goals for the hat trick. Head inside for more.

The Sabres came out with some purpose, passion and effort in the first period and it resulted in a 1-0 lead.

The Sabres suffered their ninth straight loss in blowout fashion, falling 7-0 to the Minnesota Wild at First Niagara Center on Thursday. Buffalo managed only 18 shots on net while former captain Jason Pominville recorded three assists.

Sabres need better than this


If you go by the first period, the Sabres have totally checked out. It was an embarrassing, pathetic effort and they got booed off the ice.
