Earth Sports Fortress of Pantheon

Mike Schopp and the Bulldog once again held an open forum for their 'Earth Sports Fortress of Pantheon' on Tuesday. The idea behind the creation was to gather the very best in sport for one Ultimate Hall of Fame. This way, Babe Ruth wouldn't be on the same level as Bruce Sutter. The ESF of P makes sure that Wayne Gretzky does not reside in the same building as Joe Mullen.

All Time NFL Players

Thinking about the retirement of Kerry Collins, Mike Schopp decided to make a running list of the all-time players for each NFL team. Was Collins the best ever Panther? Probably not. Mike opened up the phones for a free-for-all frenzy of teams and names.

Schopp: The impossible dream

The tweet stung me, but once it sunk in it made perfect sense. Bill Simmons of ESPN.com called this week the worst sports week in a "long long long time". (Commas cost extra on Twitter.) A compelling NBA season is over, not that I can figure out exactly what else is supposed to be going on that isn't.

Bachelorette Recap- Awesome in Hong Kong

If ABC made a dog the next Bachelorette and had twelve guys yelling, “Here boy!” while holding out Snausages for the Rose Ceremony, it would be the same thing as using Ashley H.
Ashley is stupid, insecure and desperate and I’m tired of watching her beg for reassurance. This, of course, made last night’s episode of the Bachelorette awesome.

Schopp: My dream Sabres weekend

I'm warning you right up front: The last time I really wanted the Sabres to acquire a player it was Olli Jokinen.

Nevertheless, intrepid, I give you three things I'd love to see happen this weekend. I think they're all possible:

Sabres trade Jhonas Enroth, Chris Butler and their #1 pick to Colorado for Paul Stastny.

Schopp: Playing the odds at QB

So the Super Bowl is over, and, wouldn't you know it, a team that's won it three times before took home the trophy. This of course would have been true had either the Giants or Patriots won the game. For all the credit the NFL gets for parity, when it comes to the Super Bowl the same teams always win.

SCHOPP: Allegiances tested

Hey there, Sabres fan. I'm going back on the air in a minute. Want to come inside?

The Sabres have just lost their ninth straight road game and Bulldog and I are taking calls from fans. Greg Bauch has screened some folks so let's see what we've got here. (We'll change the names to protect the scorned.)

Ted Nolan is Coaching Latvia

Column day and as luck would have it I'm sitting here with a laptop, well, in my lap, listening to the Howard Simon show here on WGR.  You should too.  Not necessarily with a laptop in your lap.  What you do with your lap is your business.  There already is enough government.

SCHOPP: Time for hard choices

For at least the third time this NHL season the Internet is buzzing with talk of whether the Anaheim Ducks are going to trade away a star player. This may be is the most talk about the Ducks since they arrived and named themselves after a kids movie.

 Count me among the curious.

PICKS! Schopp and the Bulldog

It's that time of year. The wager hasn't been determined, but Mike Schopp and Bulldog are going head-to-head with football picks.
Last season, Bulldog lost to Mike with an epic collapse and he had to watch and recap an entire season of 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'. The resulting tragedy can be found on this website, slathered in regret.
Lindy Ruff says each win fills up the "hope tank" a little bit. How's yours?
Filling up. 22 games to get in to the playoffs!
It's low, but I'm taking the wins.
  Empty. No filling this tank.
I have a tank that's hoping the other way. Sell, sell, sell!
