Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) The Buffalo Bills have announced that retired play-by-play announcer, Van Miller, will be this year's inductee onto the teams Wall of Fame at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Miller served as the 'Voice of the Bills' for 37 years and stepped away from the mic in 2003.
Miller began his career with the Bills in 1960 and called the team's two AFL Championships in 1964-65 as well as all four Super Bowl appearances by the team in the 1990's. When remembering the great plays of the team thought the years, most fans can also remember such "Van-isms" as "Do You Belive" and "Fandemonium".
Miller, who is a member of the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame, the Buffalo Broadcast Hall of Fame, Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame and also winner of the NFL's Pete Rozelle Radio and Television Award will be honored during halftime of the Bills game against the New England Patriots on October 12.
