What the Sabres Goal Song Could Sound Like...

UPDATE: The daughter of Sabres' owner Terry Pegula, Jessie, tweeted before Tuesday night's game that this song WILL be used on a test-run basis after Buffalo scores a goal! We won't know if the version I made below will be used or if it will be different. Stay tuned!

Ok so Jeremy White has done his part to try and get the song "Swords of 1000 Men" by the Tenpole Tudors to be the song played whenever the Sabres score a goal at home.

After the show today, Jeremy was alerted to a cover of the song by the band Skyclad. I liked that version a bit more, and it made me want to tackle cutting it down to simulate what the actual goal song may sound like.

Here's what I came up with.

I tried it out on NHL 11, and it was pretty cool. Just imagine the team scoring a goal, and after the horn just hearing the instrumental slowly being phased in. By the time you hear it, it's creeping right up on the first "Hoo-rah" part. I'm a fan of it.

Let me know what you think!
