Wild Card Weekend Lives up to its name

Wild Card weekend maybe gave fans across the country a glimpse of what this years NFL playoffs could hold. Three of the four games were decided by 3 or less points.

The madness started Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis as the Colts rallied from a 28 point halftime deficit to beat stun the Chiefs 45-44. 2nd year QB Andrew Luck lead the Colts tallying up 443 yards and 4 touchdowns. Luck will look to keep the hot hand next week as they travel to New England to take on Tom Brady and The Patriots.

Late action Saturday night in Philly as Drew Brees and the Saints broke the road playoff curse. Saints kicker Shayne Graham field goal as time expired in the fourth lifted the New Orleans over the Eagles 26-24. Saints look to stay alive as they head to Seattle next week in the divisional championships.

Sunday action in Cincinnati. Phillip Rivers did have to much on his side of the field as the Chargers defense was all over the Bengals causing 4 turnovers. San Diego wins 27-10 setting up a rematch with the Denver Broncos.

Final game of wild card weekend was a cold one in Green Bay setting record low temperatures. The cold wasn't a problem for 49ers kickers Phil Dawson as his field goal as time expired lifted San Francisco over the Packers 23-20. San Francisco heads to Carolina to play Cam Newton and the Panthers next weekend.
