The Rochester Americans released their schedule for the 2017-18 regular season Tuesday afternoon.

This will be the first season under new head coach Chris Taylor as the Amerks look to rebound from a 32-41-0-3 record last season.

This is also the first season where the Amerks will play in the North Division after the American Hockey League underwent realignment this offseason. Rochester will play 54 of their 76 games this season against teams from the North Division, which includes the Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay Lightning), Toronto Marlies (Toronto Maple Leafs), Utica Comets (Vancouver Canucks), and new franchises in the Belleville Senators (Ottawa Senators), Binghamton Devils (New Jersey Devils) and Laval Rocket (Montreal Canadiens).

Rochester opens the season on Friday October 6th when the Amerks host the Eastern Conference champion Crunch from the Blue Cross Arena. The next day, the Amerks will close out their home-and-home series with the Crunch at the War Memorial Arena in Syracuse.

The Amerks will welcome the newcomers to the Eastern Conference in the Charlotte Checkers on Friday October 20th.

Wednesday October 25th marks the first time the Americans will meet the Rocket in Laval, Quebec. Two days later, both teams will clash in the second game of their home-and-home at the Blue Cross Arena.

The Senators come to town for the first time on Friday November 10th after moving to Belleville from Binghamton this offseason. Both teams will have a home-and-home series against each other that weekend.

Finally, the Amerks will travel to Binghamton to face the Devils on Saturday November 18th for the first time after moving from Albany. The Devils will travel to Rochester to face the Amerks the following week on Friday November 24th.

Once again this season, the Americans will play in Buffalo at the KeyBank Center on Wednesday February 21st against the Syracuse Crunch.

The Amerks close out their home portion of the schedule with a matchup with the Devils on Friday April 13th at Blue Cross Arena. The regular season finale is set for the next day against the Crunch in Syracuse.
