Bills sign Edmunds to rookie deal

It's a four-year deal with a fifth-year option for linebacker Tremaine Edmunds

The Buffalo Bills announced on Saturday that the have signed linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to his rookie contract.

The Bills traded up from the 22nd overall spot in the first round to the 16th pick in the NFL Draft to select the 20-year-old Edmunds, who is expected to have a major role in the Bills defense. Edmunds totaled 213 tackles, one interception and three forced fumbles in his three seasons at Virginia Tech.

Edmunds signed his deal on the second day of Bills rookie minicamp, leaving quarterback Josh Allen and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips as the only two rookies left unsigned by Buffalo.
