Is bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander. The media mogul as we now call one those guys all over the place. So Lorenzo thanks very much for joining us we appreciate you give some time to us here in the afternoon like he just left this building on Thursday Ernie. You know bugging me here to figure this image. Ahmet Tuesday I was the one message you know reach out Lawrence who's. He probably not sure it was you to. Actually not going to be the debt and is working now no I have myself with me I'll taking what treatments filmed in Britain where an all day but you know I can always did you guys in. Now let's send me over there they appreciate that so look day is all but you know pushing out there and everything is clean and now would give me a hard time yeah. This this used to it you know we'll go back and forth what we always do when I'm in studio. Guiding get a chance to talk to you at the close of mini camp but a couple of your veteran teammates Eric Wood among them. Fill out that this. Mini camp and spring practices in general. Were the most intense that he has seen in his time here in buffalo now I think. When you have a first year head coach and a new coaching staff coming in I think you always expected to ramp up a little bit guys trying to prove themselves to the new coaching staff. But do you feel like even went beyond that because of the way. Coach McDermott has tried to put this thing into motion with respect to his vision plan for this team. Right. You know the throughout Vietnam and his league for thirteen years and I think I maybe had he might be my. Ford knew they called it a bit and then obviously everybody that gave my poor job rookies avenue and make sure that they belong black coaches coming in. Make sure they if they're supposed to nickel McDermott is trying to create force. Armed with all that obviously is going to be higher tempo. I'll them more competitive. But I think the key world like he thin and air Worthington who looted food as well today sustained throughout the entire offseason program. Oftentimes revenue back on Mindanao in the last you know maybe for the first or second week. But the image that caused the government brings to our team in two practices each and every day. I'm really percolating throughout the whole offseason schedule now the key is to kind of take that. Over these next six weeks. And continued that on you all at home and then bring that same time energy back and those players when training camp starts because right now it's easy to kind of keep that energy. Everybody's doing good. The fresh start but we never really handy guy bullet any adversity yet so door training camp you know when it's hot. It's muggy out there you know god tire them got maybe he nicked up because now we're hitting. He maintain that same type of in anticompetitive. Atmosphere while we're out in ultimately playing games it will mean at that time so. I'm looking forward to vet I'm I think that's a true testament to see where this team is going to be going this year and if we cannot drill our way to win one or two more games and find ourselves in the playoffs. Veterans I've always felt like this month or this time off the this six weeks 56 weeks that you guys get off there's like one of the most crucial months. And a franchise and going through the season of big guys can take the momentum you just had for many camps in the notes CA's. And take that into your offseason where this mop of training today you're ready for war training camp want to get to training camp you'll have any steps back. I've always felt like that like one of the most important times going into the season possess something that you guys as a veterans on the team talked to the younger guys about. Almost definitely. You know it felt kind of throughout the whole offseason program even MS we really that bad day. Did make issue that we communicate it when guys come back we've observed a better version of yourself. Almonds for everybody NFL look a little bit differently but into the game without you know to win games give the playoff to win championships so. Whatever it takes you to be a part of it. And you'll miss well you know what this move a little bit away and it's in the playbook a little bit better. On being more specific com player from down a down day to day. I'll whatever that looks like for you to make sure that you can correct that when a 6 weeks improve morning. So we get back into playing catch up you know out of state. You never look at the playbook for a month and that you may be mentally slow while there. I'm so whatever and specific issue that you need to work one or include long. We definitely made sure everybody knows from top to bottom I'm saying wait mentality and a different game. Are today's newswire we're all in this together could you comment always limit you never know when you're lefties in news. So we've gone all mention that we're on the same page and hit the ground running and you're training camp and on July. No coach McDermott addressed the media on that subject to weakness you know when your players are around their out. You know on their own. You know subject to their own devices their own decisions rock you know he's he's as a brain form. A brand car I'll everything's okay that I driver six weeks is it genuine concern yes the coaches love control. When the players aren't they don't have that control it. And a four year veteran leadership. I'm did not think he did a great job. Chime bill relationships within the guy I know having different guy throughout the years here that these stories. I'm you know strategically placing got to the rock and roll and young guy I know I have a couple young guys that threw me. On that mid domestic pay my position on whether or received there or. I. You know kicking me I you don't want out then you've been working out you know you need anything. I cannot help you. I'm wrapping each guy is you know especially the leaders have kind of been said we're reaching out to you know everybody know the one to dive. That you may have to be a relationship with that may need a little extra. Purse or incursion into an all these and so I'm automation of the talent that is typical home Emeka can mention though. Guys are just out there on their own the whole time you do you know what you know did not these days whether we're calling the fact what we're doing right now. You could still had that relationship or make sure guys are being accountable to themselves in as well as the king. I've got a two part question worry if you brought something that that sparked my memory bit. The locker room is part one is locker room is a complete jumble jigsaw puzzle now you know typically get into it in a lot of locker rooms ecstatic. It loosely goes by position group in terms you know are we line up for five linebackers over here in. The kickers and honors are over here and quarterbacks to wide receivers that usually an area. A general area at least for certain position groups. Coach McDermott has turned that on its year he's flipped it all around I mean there's still a couple of guys in familiar places but I walked in there are the other day. I got to read I got a reboot my memory is out where everybody is at war but maybe speak Yahoo!. Speak she may be why that. Why coach McDermott did that you think maybe he's communicated to you being one of the veteran players why he might have done that and secondly secondly. You talk to me last year about some players that on every roster in the NFL drifting into the gray. And you router players have to pull them out of there and get them on the right side of the fence so first address the locker room jumble. And then where you feel this roster is right now I know he's still don't know everybody maybe on this roster like you want you. How many might be drifting into the gray sometimes and is it less than last year. What is definitely. Strategically the way our locker room has been set up an upbeat you know he's plays guys around their leadership. I think he knows. Have the ability to be become leaders themselves all you know about like how teams Tyrod. Myself another guy that luckily we've been identified. I'm due employer I'm Micah Hyde you know especially defense. To help cultivate their leadership attributes that he season maybe a first our second year player. I'm an awful totaled that in remission and Egypt immigrate to pull them along so they can. See that is only bomb on the practice field how you know how are you ready for practice. I obviously you know would he do whatever blockers either playbook in the loses they look like everything I have a simple conversation. I'm a geek and know what did he do and all these you know sometimes we are not you know next to a guy as far as a lot we don't get to know that it's admit. Our relationship as far as keys wives. Family and all messed up that really brings us together when you're out there you plan that was hard because you know a lot better. Armed and as far as guys being in the great. Are they bad post Madonna in a whole front office have really done a great job of identifying high character guys but they have their duly did play. So this year the guy they may drift is. You can't drift because it's the only guy who went one direction we don't have guys that can kind of clicked we're kinda why we meet together. And comment you know comrade behind I think we've done a reds probably bring it from all the work you guys got that. No I don't win have worn and I can't get an arena rock they'll play ball and you see guys like that started fourteen. Playing well producing you're forced to keep up you're forced to bow to the country that we're trying to create. And out I think that's Taiwan the biggest thing I'm because oftentimes you know Penske in his life and in in his league. And you sometime woods take a list. Kid a guy for the talent that he boring but I think we've done a great job everybody a Little Rock while barring him from free agency. Our high character great blue backpack camera can play big ball out of Sundays and operate against men and women respectively on our team now. Greens are you've been in this league releases like AF soltys slightly back and all of. A lot of you've got to do one and and I'm glad I. Didn't and I would hope overwhelming what was. And the negatives may implement different things. As I knew I'd do it I don't know yeah I'll connect you with all the different outlets that and fitness I don't know. I got as there is pleasantly I think that the you you you have been to the bill what thirds it is you thirteenth year and is the you've gone to a lot of different coaches. How different are the things that coach McDermott is doing now with this team in terms of the locker room. In terms of how practices on how different is what he's doing from any of the coaches you've been around. I'm up to more than 1111 business while really big of all that much different you know it's all about. You know. Why would loose ends you remember. We're the red rocks flew to respect I mean what coach McDermott we don't have a lot of rules all of the Valero which is to say they trust loyalty and respect. Nothing when you start they are you know actually. Handled the damage that you admit you don't have a lot of rules because you're you chuck everybody will be lowering won't be respectful. Imus says good relationships. I'm all around and I don't do it was huge on that you know men if they built a relationship that continuity my body and so. All come and get us all from all the guys that have been around their head. It's definitely he had a little bit of each other and not being put into with all of they've always bring in default power to. I'm from I'm very excited about what this team is gonna be able to do comma to get it fixed in this new age player. Two days I'm removed the league needs a little bit more structure. Envision a kind of communicated to them so they did not elect in the win. I'm vs about it myself into the matter who they also brought in gifts and over the that you depend on your you're rookies executive you player commitment wiped out about how to. The professional and the way you structure and everything is going to force being an act and out to cultivate him into the professional they need to be if they want at any type of longevity in Italy. So I'm a lot of great things from me. I'm no longer continue to keep that in the energy for days are so obvious I'm I'm looking forward to and you know to be one of its own rocket worth that kind of help. Replicate and spread that ultra may have fallen out of that would give the heat of the battle because that's really where you start seeing greatness be produced. We're always planning in slow we're dorm right now so we get this season. All of this all of a bit later that we put in come to fruition and that we can be able to step up and play well when when the game is not a real. Talking of bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander who's join us on sky appear on the John Murphy show and whereas I'd note you know iron NFL player rep and you know there's been some stuff. Percolating around the league in during dead time it's getting more attention. Ryan she's here the linebacker from Pittsburgh. Was one who was commenting on rookie deals for players you know he's obviously been pretty successful earlier early in his career. Aaron Donald probably another example O'Dell Beckham junior another example. And these guys feel a little restricted by the current. Weighing the CBA reads. And I'll just read here Ryan's quote I just like how to get your feel on it is he says quote at the end of the day if you're playing at that level. He should be able to get that opportunity. To redo your rookie contract whenever you want to. And he basically says. At the end of the day it's between you in the team if the team wants to do it it's great if you play at that level you should be able to re up whenever. We all know that fit your eye that exists for those top fifteen picks it kind of holds their salary. In line even though they are getting paid significantly more than maybe those first four years but. What are you write about wiggle room for rookie deals. And it makes this coming out who is something that you know that in a situation. Want want. Changing that and and they simply say if I mean I've been in in in a deal myself you know trying to bring you get a new player it. And I don't have any restrictions on mine in the team's building wanna do it so you know even if we don't have that restriction in I mean I'm always for less regulation. Anyway I'm in the U because with all the people right now and teams are hiding kind of behind that call as far as resetting now what we can't do that anyway. Well really they probably wouldn't. You know XP and you even if Likud in most cases you know you look at eighteen they always know planning for. Salary cap. We'll go assign all season so you actually know when you signed up for your deal. And the owner or the GM why I'm gonna read that you when your third year when you step two more years to play. I understand the system that I just don't think he would honor you know. You know is is one thing to be you know have regulations from most of playable when it goes to the business side. A lot of stuff did. If you don't lucky to become all about business in. From a IG and respected dramatic young talented not as bad out all Paul the second year after about two more years. Our before I have to worry about signing mark flew them in you know in and obviously a salary cap movie while I while I do that introduced rugby is the airport outside of making him happy. So it sounds good but I don't necessarily know if we would be any different result I have got our earlier it would actually pulled that commentator right now but I behind that that call not to mention the fact that you'd tick off 31 other team is set that precedent. From the right guy to mess everything Taylor the how but how often do the younger guys on the team I don't know if the younger guys on this team even know. That year its own ball with the NFL PA but how much. Or how often do they come and speak to you about different things like it Laurence knows this okay like. Just ask you did I thought about things. You know unless it was on our team have been a part of that the union I'm actually executive committee member of our team is tie rod here wooed. I'm also brought Patrick DiMarco was is get a rep and I think my god is whale. I'm a Wii Fit again and presented to the team as far as being that are going on as far as in a failing and the Philippine business though guys come in and when they have questions. You know where there's about Clinton is going off practiced. You know whether is that she wanted to letters some typed hello Paul and their Contra. And I'm just kind of it may not. I don't understand every game went out about our great land so. I'm proud of the middleman between the PA and the players oftentimes. Send them over directly to the PA and we have a great player at advocate engineers. I'm really does a great job as far as in god they need so but that's spent in the often. In I try to direct means this is backing in or educated on what I've learned throughout my years. And I wanna get I don't give away any secrets with regard to scheme or anything but. We're trying to get a handle on your role in these defense and are there we see you move around a good deal. You know based on packages and things like that would it be. To put a general label. On May be your role this year should we call you a Jack of all trades type just in terms of the different roles you may have in this team. In my our career so I'm I'm you know I think the quick actually next to mine ain't know put linebacker. TH. But I obviously you know what is out I'll bet you know may is playing off the ball alive Becker on the ball linebacker. Lineup could be that all you see that did last year. I'm you not because we do every came in off Leslie Frazier watched the film is all that I have a bid to move around. You know oftentimes people say you know get a bar trades master of none. But I'll prove effective in a big to do that as well this place special teams so I look forward to help when the team in in various ways at different packages in I think you see that. Across our keep it filled. Our personnel and general I mean a lot of guys can play nick or corner and play safety or come down play corner. Play defense and attack or defense of me and I would is that a lot better they've brought in to give Levittown and it just helps you of the defense of coordinator to call a different packages give different looks. Tom but planned to send the same all just because you are a lot of guys can do a lot of different things it looks different but we're playing some different. Or looks the same to them different though just a great way to play great because you never know weren't. Before letting Donald take is final parting shot diseases like to do like gone on our bills today today what we did fine and I don't know how much you're into the advanced analytics Lorenzo but. You know pro football focus as there is you take it with a grain of salt sometimes but they did in advance metric that measured. Guys who are most effective in the league last year in terms of turning. Pressure. Pressures in two sacks and you were third in the league in that category last year obviously you know it while nap sacks on the season. Back I don't know if I fully grasp what that's that measures. But I'm guessing you're not just a little pressure your finishing the play. So rod. Really is like you know taking advantage of the opportunity to a lot of times you can get question included a target quarterback Dan you know especially my guess like a cam. I knew no one beer robbers murders are things just convert that person into that which is fine again but I can see it. The metric system that's something I'm proud at the bottom of the league you know it's August panic to what a great thoughts and great for the fans the category. I think he can engage into the game. But as players you know that the bar owner not the man you really don't need analytic part of the game to to see don't feel he has anything challenges mr. Annan. Challenges are really do have a question requests for these. As a as a veteran in this league guy who's going into his thirteenth season a guy who is a father husband a true family man. And and you keep those core values. What do you think about when you hear a guy like Michael Bennet say what he stated in terms of why miss obligates. It makes good sense and you know I think everybody's situation is different everybody's mindset I mean SM that I struggle with. You know at this point in my career do I need old PA's. To trying to be ready no but this particularly I need to learn the defense and and offer our I had a great leadership. I think value to the team as well. Arm but Michael Bennett may if its latest CN may be completely different I'm one assembly saying because you know for what they that a week I'm up in buffalo I'm missing. Think he's a school picking them are. Mrs. the full practice that you know the culture here as well and I connect him everything I want to. I'm recommend them to do my buddy Darby if my daughter you know lets up on the weak yen but it is ours is very challenging and you know he let us all what behind him as well and and and that you know what I feel when David do we do. I thought I respect prayer I ever you wanna handle you all season. I'm but you know god don't disrespect you treated differently. And and obviously if you index eighty some odd that in this week so it makes it really easy when a clue what Washington Redskins dilutive to gain here right now holds really easy just go all the work and still do my my family duties so. And the situation is different I give where he's coming from. And I really respect it and eat eat Eaton Michael this articulating it puts things in a great perspective in Nam. And no income is often a little bit I really wouldn't respect everything that he does know socially. Football why they're in the community. Well knowing this is the time where you get the most family time we appreciate you giving us twenty minutes your time here today Lawrence it was always a pleasure having on the show. And will leave you alone for six weeks. I bet it wouldn't have. I don't cannot promise that these flat and I get beyond that I'm I'm not aggressively sought I'm not I'm not about him that they you guys you guys beat that out on your own. Thanks Lawrence as always we appreciate it. Our lead that's Lorenzo Alexander bills linebacker on Skype helping us out here on the John Murphy steel and incident say to bury a variable rate of topic. Because you know he can always kind of tap into those different things. You know from Lee issues. To things you know that you brought up with the Michael Bennett thing it was a good thing to bring up. You know knowing he's the dad also when he values the work life balance. You know that sometimes people lose site of the coach McDermott said when I was young coach. You know I wasn't holding up my end of the bargain homeland did. I had to reassess the priorities and establish a better work life balance I think it's a challenge. For players sometimes young dads who are dug in 27 year old guys who get kids at home. You don't a significant other wife and you get a balance things that I. Up Davies. You know exactly just add a minority. Has a newborn same weekend that he was drafted and and then you know he has to learn the playbook he. You know when your first round pick you have pressure and you just because people expect you to perform so you want to put in all of the work that you have to put in so that. You can perform once the season comes around but at the same time you have a child back home is thinking about how this right is that this is not an easy thing to do. 8030551888550. To 550 we're gonna get back into some of the discussion we had earlier most important game on the bills' schedule. And we may even throw a little top ten in there too with. The second installment of the top ten bills offensive players of all time set to air tonight on amnesty at 9 o'clock. Donald I've back on the other side this is the John Murphy show presented by NAPA Auto Parts. From one bills drive this is Buffalo Bills radio. Chris Stroud Donald Jones here on the John Murphy show over we'll be back tomorrow. He's taking a long weekend. And democratic came up with a interesting thought with the NBA draft coming up real quick. Bayern NBA fan anecdotes from the two yeah yes it's it's a busy June for drafting. At least for the NBA in the NHL ills of the expansion draft on Wednesday to but. It was an interesting thing that you brought up just talking about. How in basketball. Sometimes you have one draft class. And boom you know you're often run and the thing about the NBA draft though it's only two rounds. Com. And a lot of times the tree awaits your round picks like it's a piece of bazooka Joseph Francis. There is isn't it does give it away that's the knicks are famous for that. But. You want you're asking you wanna know if you can do then in the NFL is it possible to do that one draft class. I mean I guess you go back to the steelers' 74 draft class when they got like. Mean Joseph green Jack Lambert in all those guys in one draft ones that that was that was ridiculous and yes he would turn them into the four time Super Bowl winner. With those core of that draft class. I think it's harder obviously in the in a so just because antimissile be. You know images and an amateur prize. To have one draft class is totally changed everything changed of fortune of you know at a friend's eyes. I am I'm sure people would argue if you draft the right quarterback you know that would change everything corporate. I know in the NBA. You know he looked at Cleveland. For a long time they were terrible toll drafted LeBron James and and they were in the finals and things like that it was one player. Bryant you know so it's is that is only five players on the floor of the right you know also so different in the NBA just because. The rosters and umps are hockey too because the roster is so much smaller. For you to be able to draft the one or two guys and they totally it is changed the entire. Franchise the NFL is this that's a lot harder to do. And even if you think about quarterbacks that did get drafted. And it had enough time in the league. Day. Or are due to fit that argument that some people might say address the record your offering going. Andrew Locke is. Made the playoffs once I think. And that's not necessarily his fault that means GM that drafted him Marty got fired. So you look at that and you say well maybe it isn't. And I think. We always hear the common. Moniker that's given to football it's the ultimate team sport because you need everybody working in concert maybe in that sport more than any other. And there's eleven guys on the field so. With that in mind. I don't know that you can equate it to you. They can do it. And some and I suppose that you know if you've built the thing the right way maybe there's that tipping point. Draft class that helps the team reach critical mass and now we are championship caliber and then people who only remember. What have you done for me lately might point to the draft as it is the draft class that did it you know blob of lie and it might very well be. Three of the previous four draft classes in concert on the field. Has pushed them to that level I think that's the more likely thing the more likely scenario. I mean he's he writes flip it over to hockey can think about the Edmonton Oilers they've had a lot of top five picks over the last 68 years. And they get to draft time academy David number one a couple of years ago. And now you're finally seeing them as a playoff team and probably what will be a perennial playoff team. For the future but everybody. Look at academy Dave doesn't guys you know Ryan Nugent Hopkins in their audience these topics that they've been role in through. Now it's reached critical mass where all of that talent pool together has pushed them forward. I don't know me I guess NBA would probably be the only one that you can really. Dude and then. And that's hard to because it was taken at the top of the draft the worst teams in. He usually when you look at this is that was I didn't understand balsam was like. Number one team in the east in terms of record and they still have no more pick and administrative way but. Like how that even happen in the NFL. Is is so different because you look there are certain teams in the NFL that are always drafting in the top ten. So as night aren't you draft in the top ten. You know. Seven of the last ten years and you still have a good team. But it's usually because the coaching staff since turning over right there's so much it's there's so much turn from top to bottom. In terms of your roster from front office to coaching staff that now you have players that don't even get it sent a chance at developing. In to something because there's a new coach is that the doesn't like this guy he brings in a new scheme this guy doesn't fit in that scheme you know so we've seen that here is right exactly so so hard and NFL. For one draft classes to change things unless like you say you built this thing the right way and you have this one good draft. That takes it over the top. And that means doing everything right. You know the previous 234 years you leading up to that and your team might me me type it being now you have one draft class. This and some people get. Blinded by some of these teams that go worst to first. But a lot of times those teams that go worst to first are often the product of circumstance. More than the talent that they might have on their roster what I mean by that is. You may have a key player with a catastrophic season ending injury now I don't have a guy to use every week in match ups. And nagger seven in nineteen. And then you get that guy back there next year it maybe you have a good draft less on top of that water to those guys start in Korea. And now bang your playoff team if you just made a four win difference in your club. By virtue of the fact that you get this guy back and you get these guys that can win match ups are these guys that can make plays on defense. And all fits together. The right way I guess the Seahawks would be a good example that. Just the way they built that thing with a couple of those drafts that they had back to back them Russell Wilson wasn't even supposed to be the starting quarterback Matt Flynn was. And then he comes in and out performs him and steps into role that I don't think anybody anticipated to be stepping into as a rookie let alone even a second your place. I was at Dallas could be. But they drafted well they drafted for years. Lyman in the first round yet another lineman in the first and I've never cowboys fans that I know personally like man what are we doing. And in the one you they'd draft the right quarterback even though he went in the fourth round third or fourth round. He Jack ZQ I would the first program and it took them over the top you know and and they wanted to nowadays didn't make it all the way. But at least you had a team that was mrs. Petit. Matches and we'll see bacon carried over to this year but yet think you you have to kind of build it the right way force in years and in that one Jeff. See and what makes that interest thing is the giants which typically subscribe to the draft building model. Have kind of flipped the script and a the last three years. They've invested heavily in free agency. When. They I mean since that time I was a little kid they never never and they never did that they may get a spare part scouting guy or. You know a late in the free agency period signing just to fill a hole as a stopgap for a year may be too. But there is team much like Pittsburgh that's known to be extremely. Patient. With their draft choices but guy looks like a Boston year to bill stick with decades. And keep working with him in the third year give a fourth year and very often. They might be a Johnny come lately but they'll finally get it and then they'll be okay as they've got a guy in that spot and he's been there for four years. And then he's ready to play so they'll do extensive grooming with their draft picks to make sure they panned out and work for them when a lot of other teams. Will pull the record. And sending guy on his way to find a job somewhere else in the league to see them make that shift. Is a real change in philosophy for them and one that you don't anticipate. From a traditional historic franchise like the Jack. Now you know. My Coughlin was there for. How many years. Tonka and yeah. Here's what's at first names on me and Kenny Lofton earlier thrown me for a loop I got to try to catch up to do but you'll atop it though I'm Italian I is is that you look at my. Talk about. Topped out at a time problem with the if bird a good amount of time one to some rebels there. But it really goes because at the front office and tear recently he's been there for a time so it makes you wonder. Is that something that he's always wanted to do series like me now he's been on the job long right. You know put it into motion and Tom Coughlin is not there may be time caught everybody else no right it's a problem like no we want to draft and keep it this way. And now he's gone series at the top of things in recent gains and being mean these. Right and then you have a team like the raiders who. For a while there they were trying to plug guys from free agencies try to augment their roster after some failed draft classes. And we've seen this before with teams that don't draft well are often forced to overpay and going to free agency to fill holes that were and effectively filled by the players they drafted. In Oakland was in that boat for a little while. But then they have a couple of good draft classes and Lori Cooper Jericho are you know players like this than men even mentally plots in the offensive lineman has panned out for them. And so you know you have. A team. Ready to take that next step now Randy faded towards the end of last year were a disappointment in the playoffs after a really strong regular season. But that's a team that's you know on the rise I think in the eyes of many people put myself in that vote. Which is why that's probably one of the games are looking forward to the most on the bills' schedule this year they've got to come here after that as it looked terrible game last year. I just look for the march government. Yet you know I hadn't really that wasn't the first thing that comes to mind when I'm thinking Oakland now but it is it is unquestionably. Get a B so often. Boy that should be interest in. An interview very interesting news that. Mark Simons we got to take a quick break but we'll be back to find out what we learned. On today's show. Not all night to close things up and put a bow on this one here on a Monday it's the John Murphy show. Is that about NAPA Auto Parts from one bills drive. This is Buffalo Bills radio. Things he's not John Murphy show. And now what have we learned from today's show. That's right what have we learned brought to you by advanced alarm the preferred alarm at home theater provider of the Buffalo Bills. Well we met with former bills' offensive coordinator. Giving Gil brighter joined us on the show in. He shared seventh what made him and the New York Giants successful in choose over bulls against the patriots. We have never felt. RT bomber or do what we want to footer gave fair although we hear. Great respect for parents and awaited word became a very great quarterback Eric. I think we all felt hurt you know reporters we were people what don't we we could learn and there are bureau report report. And you know what Peter Grier report from what we lost was what you don't care for your Burke are thicker bodied or. Just this hour earlier this hour we met with Lorenzo Alexander who joined us on Skype and spring practices wrapped up there's a six week break now between now and the start of training camp. And the veteran linebacker talked about staying focused during the break before camp opens. It felt kind of throughout the whole off season program even at math we really that bad day. Please make sure that we communicated when I feel bad we defer the fifth version of yourself. And put everybody definitely look a little bit differently from the end of the day we're out here don't swing plane hit the playoff win championships so. Whatever it take you to be a part of it. And your best today you know what that move a little bit late understand the playbook a little bit better on being more to fifteenth. The player from down a down day to day whatever that reflect that you make is that correct that within 6 weeks improve morning. So we did that you're not playing catch them in an Odyssey. And I had to say I would think the most encouraging thing that we heard from Lorenzo was the fact that. Last year when I talked to him and there was problems with accountability in that locker room and put your best product on the field he told us. There are fewer guys that are in that gray area that you have to pull out of there. And so what you should see I think is. A more collective. Accountable. Consistent effort from every man on this football team when they get down to 53 in early September. The biggest thing you talked about with that Chris is that you know. He goes back to summit term in the type of guys that he's bringing on to this team guys that are good character guys but hard working guys. And also good football players and sometimes it's hard teams will sometimes settlement guy. That is not a character guy who a couple of guys that are not character guys. Just so that they can have the talent in those guys and of some times political team now so it's good work coach McDermott is doing in terms of cat does. Jonathan Alder we're sorry we didn't have time for you today but he did agree with you Donald. Chiefs game most important in his mind on his bills' schedule this year with respect. To playoff hopes that he got one guy here for. I'm a felony but that's when the all right well thanks by the scenes.
