PROS
- Quick off the snap.
- Has shown the ability to drop in to coverage.
- Prototypical height for those looking for a 3-4 OLB.
- Has good lateral movement to maintain the edge on outside runs.
CONS
- Tends to get lost on most running plays.
- Looks smallish compared to other defensive ends.
- For a smaller player, it doesn't look as though he has the speed to compensate for it.
Special Notes:
- No relation to former teammate and current San Francisco 49ers player Aldon Smith.
- Turns 22 in March
- Has worked for the Dallas Morning News in the past.
Projection: 6th to 7th round
- He needs to get bigger, faster and a bit smoother. Still, there are some things to like and he should get drafted.
