Jamaar Jarrett, #92
Arizona State
6'5", 259 lbs., 21 years old
San Marcos, CA
35 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 2 sacks (4.5 in '10, 0 in '09, 1 in '08) 2 FF
PROS
- A smart player that brings plenty of experience to the table.
- Forces the issue in the pocket every now and again. Not a lot of sacks, but certainly a fair amount of hurries to his resumé.
- His size is on his side. Could be seen as an OLB in the 3-4 in the NFL.
CONS
- Lacks the lateral movement to hold the edge in the run game.
- Not a very fast player.
- Disappears against stronger competition. Was no contest for USC's Matt Kalil.
- Little to no separation off blocks.
Special Notes:
- Will turn 22 in March.
- Able to do a standing backflip with pads on, according to his player bio for Arizona State.
Projection: Late Round to Undrafted
- Despite having the size of the prototype, he doesn't bring all that much more to the table.
