Yeah, I work in the media, still root for Buffalo sports teams to win, and make no apologies for it! Have a problem with that? Too bad.

Born and raised in WNY. Attended Syracuse University. I bleed orange, too.

I’m that guy who can tell you the last 30 Heisman Trophy winners and Super Bowl champs, but don’t know how to change the oil in my car. The world needs people like that……I hope!

Former high school football coach, track coach, teacher, bartender. Current husband, dog lover, drummer, golfer, craps player, radio & TV host and play-by-play announcer. Secret goal in life is to be the host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. But don’t tell anyone.

CAPACCIO: 12 things I think about the Bills

Today is the start of May.  That means Bills training camp begins in just about twelve weeks.  OK, give a few days or so either way.  For that, here are twelve things I'm thinking about the Bills after the draft and all the free agent signings.......

CAPACCIO: Newsome nails the draft. Again!

Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome is the best in the business at finding value and talent together in the draft.  And he did it again this year.

Breaking down EJ Manuel as a passer

After the Bills made EJ Manuel their only pick in the first round of the draft, I spent a lot of time watching film of him.  Here's what I liked and what I didn't........

CAPACCIO: First Round's On Me (mock draft and Bills thoughts)

About the first round.  And only the first round…..

"Can't Stand To Lose"

Losing isn't just a score, it's a culture.

Picking the Conference Tournaments

Before the field of 68 is announced Sunday night, conference tournaments all over the country will help determine what teams gets automatic bids to the Big Dance.  Here are my predictions for who wins some of these tournaments, along with a sleeper team (must be seeded 5 or worse), and a brief analysis on each tourney:

Welcome to Sal's Tweet Stack

You’ve heard of Mailbags.  Well, mail was cool in the 1900s and email was soooo early 2000s.  So, it’s time to get into the year 2013 and do it the right way.  Welcome to Sal’s Tweet Stack.  These are real tweets to me from (I think, although you’ll see why I often wonder) real people......

Bye bye, February. Hello, Madness!

Tomorrow is March 1st.

I'm supposed to write next, "The Madness is soon to begin."

But let's be honest.  It's already here.  It's been here all season.

SABRES: Who should Tyler Myers be?

He's 6-foot-8.

He weighs almost 230 pounds.

As a rookie NHL defenseman, he scored 11 goals, added 37 assists, was a +13, and won the Calder Trophy.  All of that is great.  But for Tyler Myers, it may also be his problem.

Grigorenko decision should not be about contract clock

Should he stay or should he go?

After today's game in D.C., the Sabres will have to make their decision on whether or not Mikhail Grigorenko stays on the roster or goes back to his junior team.
