Devils eliminate Rangers, advance to Stanley Cup Finals
The New Jersey Devils defeated the New York Rangers Friday night to move on to the Stanley Cup Finals.
The Devils jumped out to a hot start, scoring two first period goals, but the Rangers came back with two of their own in the second to tie the game at 2-2. After a scoreless third, the game went to overtime.
Just 63 seconds into OT, Devils forward Adam Henrique poked a rebound past Rangers' goalie Henrik Lundqvist to send New Jersey to the Cup Finals.
The Devils will play the Los Angeles Kings. The series begins Wednesday.
