Two Amerks D-men reportedly sign in Europe

Reports from over seas are saying that Rochester Americans' defenseman Dennis Persson and Shaone Morrisonn have signed to play in Europe.

Persson signed with Brynas IF in Sweden, Morrisonn for HC Spartak.

Persson was a 2006 first-round draft pick. He was taken 24th overall, four spots ahead of Nick Foligno, who is the brother of current Sabre Marcus.

Morrisonn was signed by the Sabres in 2010-11. He was sent to Rochester, though, after the Sabres signed Christian Ehrhoff and traded for Robyn Regehr. The move was made to keep Morrisonn's more than $2 million cap hit off the Sabres' total cap number, which is considered somewhat of a loop hole in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Morrisonn played 65 games and scored 15 points for the Amerks last season. Persson scored seven in 39 games.
