Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, June 26th 2012



At a recent meeting in Toronto, Cleveland Biolabs of Buffalo demonstrated potential curative effects in animals of its compound used to treat neuroblastoma. Business First reports the compound, when used in combination with chemotherapy, was shown to delay tumor development and prolong survival rates.

Buffalo-based New Era's NFL on-field caps have been unveiled. They will be available for purchase on July 12th. You can see the caps by following this link.

Stryker Corporation has made official what had been known since early last December - it will shut down operations in West Seneca and Orchard Park. Over 100 workers will be let go between September 21st and the end of this year.

A group affiliated with developer Carl Paladino has purchased the Willcare Office Building at 344 Delaware Avenue for $2.5 million.

Billamy's BBQ has opened at 1260 Hertel Avenue.
