Brad Boyes heads to Long Island with the Islanders.

Brad Boyes Signs with Islanders

At noon today, Brad Boyes officially became a former Sabres.  Two hours later, Brad Boyes has found a new home with the New York Islanders.

According to Andy Strickland of 590 The Fan Radio in St. Louis, Boyes has signed a one-year deal with the Islanders worth $1 million.

Last season was a career worst for the former 40-goal scorer, netting just 8 goals and 23 points in 65 games.  Boyes already made some waves today in an interview with CBC reporter Doug Harrison, in which he made pointed comments about head coach Lindy Ruff's coaching style, as well as vague comments about where he'd like to go in free agency.  You can view that article right here.
