Local gas prices have slid twenty-eight cents in the past month to an average of $3.59 for a gallon of unleaded in Western New York. The AAA reports there's still a twenty-three cent gap between the Buffalo price and the national cost of $3.36. Typically that difference is closer to twelve cents per gallon.
New York State's consumer confidence dropped 2.1 points in June, according to the Siena College Research Institute. One bright note about the number; the consumer confidence level this year is nearly ten points better than the number for last June.
Verizon Wireless recently activated new 4G LTE coverage on four sites in Buffalo. Additional coverage was also added in Niagara Falls, Amherst, Brant, North Collins and Dunkirk.
