Former Sabre Derek Roy was apparently a bit banged up at the end of his Buffalo career.  Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports that Roy had shoulder surgery today and will be out until November, causing him to miss the start of this coming season.  The center was recently moved to the Stars in exchange for Steve Ott and Adam Pardy.
