Buffalo Business Report - Monday, August 27th 2012



The current average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region is $3.89, according to AAA. That's up four cents from a week ago today and up a dime from the price of gas at this time a year ago.

Business First reports Mayor Byron Brown will announce which Webster Block proposal the city will accept before week's end. Bids are under review from developer Carl Paladino and the Buffalo Sabres.

Yahoo! Sports has determined that Buffalo was second among NFL cities in fantasy football participation last year. On average, one of every thirty-six people took part in at least one league. Only Baltimore fans placed higher on the list. Miami fans finished dead last.

The Anchor Bar will open a restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario's Jackson Square Mall early next year.
