Buffalo Bills Release Vince Young

The Buffalo Bills have officially announced the release of QB Vince Young. Young tipped off fans of the move via his Twitter page earlier on Monday. He thanked the fans for their support and the team for the opportunity to turn around his career.

“I want to thank the Bills organization for the opportunity and wish the organization and my teammates good luck this season”.

Young went 12-of-26 for 103 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Steelers. He threw two interceptions and no touchdowns.

This moves comes after a reported trade between the Bills and Seahawks. Several media outlets are reporting that the Bills are sending undisclosed picks to Seattle for QB Travaris Jackson. The deal has not been made official and CBS Sports Jason LaCanfora says that the hang up is the desire of Jackson to reach a new contract with the Bills.

Jackson was the odd man out in Seattle as rookie 3rd round pick Russell Wilson was named the starter under center and Free Agent Matt Flynn will serve as his back up.
