Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, September 13th 2012



The local average pump price has pushed past $4 per gallon for the fourth time in history. According to the AAA, the cost for a gallon of unleaded has jumped six cents since Monday to $4.04. The national average is eighteen cents lower.

The NFTA has received $659,000 in federal grant money for use at Buffalo Niagara International and Niagara Falls International Airports. That money is earmarked for improvement projects at both facilities.

Business First reports Niagara's Choice FCU and Niagara County's FCU will merge as of December 1st. That will make the financial institution the second-largest credit union in Niagara County. All employees at the five member credit unions will be retained. The credit union will have combined assets of $124 million.

McGuire Development Company has announced the building at 400 International Drive in Amherst that houses the Brain and Spine Center and Williamsville Diagnostic Center is now designated as smoke-free.
