According to the AAA, the local average cost for a gallon of gas is $4.07 for the region. The national average is twenty-six cents lower, at $3.81. Generally there's a twelve cent difference between the national and local prices.

Kaleida Health expects to announce a naming rights deal for the new children's hospital to be built at High and Ellicott Streets in Buffalo. Ground breaking for that facility is expected to come next year.

Niagara Ceramics and Sherrill Manufacturing have been awarded contracts to supply UB's new residential dining center with china and flatware. Both are New York companies.

JF Automation USA has expanded with the hiring of several new electrical engineers.

Burrito Bay has opened a second location at 5574 South Transit Road in Lockport. The original restaurant remains on Millersport Highway near Campbell Boulevard.
