Buffalo Business Report - Monday, October 8th 2012



The AAA reports that the average cost for a gallon of gas in Western New York remained steady this weekend at $4.11.  However, that's twenty-nine cents more than the national average of $3.82.

Dish Network and Gannett have agreed to a deadline extension as they continue to resolve a dispute over carriage fees. Their agreement would have expired at 2am this morning.  Gannett owns WGRZ-TV in Buffalo and has stations in 18 other cities.

According to Business First, a local investment group named Genesee Block LLC paid $60,000 for the vacant three-story building at 9 Genesee Street.  Early plans are to turn the top two floors into apartments.

Mighty Taco's twenty-first restaurant is open in North Tonawanda's Budwey's Plaza on Division Street.

Tire manufacturer Kumho Tire USA has extended its partnership with the Buffalo Bills for a second season.
