Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, October 9th 2012



The NFTA Board of Commissioners will meet Friday to review a pair of offers made for the Outer Harbor property it owns.  Business First reports the City of Buffalo and the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation were the only two bidders for the parcel of land.

The former Network Piping Building at 1728 Seneca Street has been bought by McMahon LLC for $150,000.  General contractor David McMahon will move his business into the new site.  He plans to lease the majority of that property.

J. Christian Fashion Boutique, a ladies clothing store, has opened inside the Market Arcade Building at 617 Main Street.

Schwabl's Restaurant in West Seneca is celebrating 175 years in business in Western New York.

Catholic Health's Mercy Nursing Facility at OLV has received an "Excellence in Action" award from the National Research Corporation.  It's one of only three given out in the state.
